So. Where’s Kate disappeared to. Some odd conspiracy theories about. its certainly an odd one.. Marriage difficulties.. Always been rumours about William and a nanny. Best rumour at work today is she got knocked up by Thomas Kingston, it is all about to hit the fan, and he topped himself That would explain why the death of someone fairly distantly related to the King was national news yesterday Reported completely blandly Standard tactic that, make it mundane

The hypocrisy is from those on here who Champion Charlie as an Environmentalist, of course Charlie is also a hypocrite, but I think that was already generally understood

Obviously you haven't acquainted yourself of all the facts of this case Charlie's Lands in Wales are managed by the Crown Estates and the assurance sought was exemption from prosecution from Welsh Law for the underlings who manage his Welsh Estates to be exempt from breaking Welsh Environmental Laws However you missed the main point of my post which was that some on this MB proclaim Charlie to be an Environmentalist. This is a ridiculous claim given Charlie seeks an exception from complying with Environmental Agricultural Laws for the underlings who manage his Lands, as I said his hypocrisy is widely understood.

A lot of the comments I make are just a bit of sport because I’m just not that bothered about him and don’t understand all the hate and anger about someone or a family that no one’s ever met just for a bit of political posturing and to demonstrate how we’re “men of the people.” I just can’t get the hate towards him that’s all. People love to snipe at him because he’s privileged but will actively defend people who riot on the streets or attack the police but for no other reason than that in there eyes they’re fighting “the system” regardless of how they do it. Happy to condone / champion people for smashing up the streets but get all hot under the collar because someone’s privileged and lives a fortunate life in an institution that’s being existing for many years. Of course the countries in a mess due to the Tories and not because of the Royal family. Maybe the answers to do volunteering and work on a community scheme where you can really make a difference it’s far more satisfying than venting on a forum.

I wasn't thinking of you in particular but another poster who claims to be an Environmentalist and to have met Charlie and to use your words says he's a Top Bloke I must have worded my post incorrectly because both you and Desman have missed my point which was about hypocrisy Like many people in positions of power and/or privilege they like to lecture and make rules for the little people but have no intention of following them themselves as they don't apply to them. Do you not think someone who travels around the World in a Private Jet lecturing others about Climate change would have the decency to have his vast inherited lands farmed in compliance with Environmental Laws that mere mortals must comply with? Regarding the whataboutery issue you raise I would never and have never defended anyone "smashing up the streets" whether it be Tommy Robinson, or whatever he's calling himself these days, or Drunken Youths, I can't say from Southall as they were unwelcome and from somewhere else, but let's say in Southall,

In relation to the little people, being only 5’6’’ I fall very much under that bracket. In relation to hypocrisy show me someone who isn’t in one way or another a hypocrite. We all are including me but at least he’s doing some good lecturing about the environment. Maybe his lifestyle doesn’t allow him to do what he’d like to in relation to taking alternative transport. This thread isn't about "him" it's about his role as unelected head of state. Whether anyone likes or dislikes him is irrelevant. Personally I don't have anything against him - he isn't particularly awful and he isn't particularly good at anything. The issue for me is that the position he holds shouldn't exist in that form and no-one should be the unelected head is state in a modern democracy. The institution of the monarchy is ridiculous and shouldn't even exist but I don't near any ill will to Charles Windsor.

Wankers, the lot of ‘em. In my opinion I’d put them ahead of 1- people that don’t champion environmental causes and fly. 2- people that moan about the hypocrisy but do little themselves. Anyway where’s everyone going on holiday this year?
