I thought we were the better team tonight for most of the game tbh. It was much better. The biggest issue tonight and it’s becoming a common theme was his in game management. We were well on top second half and it needed a change on 65-70, to keep us fresh and keep our momentum. Instead he’s allowed us to to tire to the point where we were clinging on and it’s cost us. How Mikel and Allen have played 90 again is beyond me. There’s simply no excuse with Thompson and Cousins on the bench.

I'm genuinely amazed by this level of vitriol towards MON. He inherited a shitshow just a year ago. The problem is he's causing this himself, forget tonight, but his decisions in games are appalling, dropping inform players is moronic and persiting with those having bad game after bad game even more so. It's frustrating because he's shown he can get a tune out of this squad but he's been reluctant to even try, prefering to go for the draw more often than not. I just don't trust him. Well said.

I didn’t think we were hanging on though.

So did Barnsley’s manager. They would have been relegated if not for Wigan’s points deduction, look at them now. The context at every club is different though. Given the amount of wages we've got out of the picture through not being at the club or being injured, and the lack of room to maneuver in the market, and the shit he inherited - and the fact he had the 3rd best record in the league in 2020, I'm beyond baffled at the reaction. Solid mid-table is fine this season, given the context (IMO of course!) My point is he could be doing better. Barnsley haven’t gone out and spent any more money than ourselves. Their new manager has come in and had work with a squad of players that should have been relegated last season. He’s stamped an identity on the side and done it simply through coaching and hard work on the training ground. I just don’t see what O’Neil is trying to do with our side.

I thought we were the better team tonight for most of the game tbh. It was much better. That kinda makes it all the more worse, if we're losing when we're the better side, God help us when we play badly!!! That’s football. We lost because of a shit ref. People need to untwist their knickers.

I'm genuinely amazed by this level of vitriol towards MON. He inherited a shitshow just a year ago. So did Durban when he took over. MON has lost the momentum and we are now producing a spell of results which wouldn’t have looked out of place in Jones’ record. We will be relegated next season if this carries on. MON looks like he is totally out of ideas. There is no system, no ethos and dare I say it no leadership. It is interesting for me that the only time our players have looked motivated in the past three months is when they wanted to prove a point against Jones.

We just don’t look sharp and we run out of steam nearly every single game. This run of injuries can’t just be down to bad luck either.

Tonight Swansea were first to so much not because they were fitter but they were reading the balls. I don't think you can teach it you can either read a game.or you can't. I don't think we have many who can.

They are “sackable” stats in any league and any club in the World. Regardless of who is to blame for recruitment and current form I think this guy is toast.

I'm genuinely amazed by this level of vitriol towards MON. He inherited a shitshow just a year ago. He did and he certainly turned us around from being relegation candidates. The question is do you see him being able to win enough games to ever get a team promoted with his defensive mentality? There are massive question marks over his recruitment too.

I am not at the stage of calling for MON head, but he has to start showing something, it’s just to comfortable playing for a draw when he doesn’t have the fans screaming for something to happen. 1 win in 15 in all competitions has seen plenty of managers shown the door, especially a team with ambitions of promotion, even if realistically that ambition is focused on next season. Everybody in the club new we had to replace Campbell, even recalling Afobi would have given us an option, this season now feels done, it’s just a trudge to 50 points until we go again, very very disappointing With the greatest of respect mate... YAWN

Again true first half Brown gets a pass from Fletch and then runs back towards where Fletch was and passes it directly to there players its piss poor.

People need to untwist their knickers. Agree totally, teams will have spells against us they always do. However we outplayed and dominated Swansea for 35 mins of the 2nd half, then the ref has a cluster fuck in the final seconds. Yes they had built up a little bit of pressure just by the fact they had the ball in our half in the final minute and instinctively you drop back to protect your goal. MON not responsible at all, if I was him I would be kicking the refs fucking door down to insert something where the sun doesn’t shine

I think it’s a really big leap and a bit of cliche where people are saying he’s was a backs to the wall man with NI. All of those expected goal loons would tell you we were going for it every game with Jones last season, I know which man I’d prefer and I think we should just let the man do his job. Things will turn quickly next season if he persists with names over performances. There’s two players out there tonight who must be on their way home knowing they’ve had a stinker and they’re the two biggest names in the squad. It’s an absolute curse.

I think this is the major question at the moment. MoN has definitely steadied the ship, but if we have any genuine ambition to get promoted then he needs to find a way for us to score more goals and churn out more wins. He can definitely do it (in 2020 we earned the 3rd most points in the league) but the drop off since Christmas is concerning ...

If you mean MIkel as one of the two he didn't have a stinker. There's a middle ground and he found it last season, he's been scared to death of finding it this season. He's not the man we should be trusting to take us forward.
