Bowyer just said, 3 Championship clubs have agreed a fee with Charlton and he will be leaving

Would love him to sign, but this is Stoke, prepare always for disappointment ☹️

That's more competition than I fancy I have to say.
My worry is one of them will be in London, which in itself could be enough for him to go there.

I said it with Matondo and I'll say it again here. Those 10 years we had in the Prem hold a lot of sway still with potential signings, it was all Matondo was banging on about in his interview. That coupled with an internationally respected manager means I'm very confident we'll get this sorted.

You’ve got to hope him being on Beswicks books is a big advantage here.

QPR not a problem I would have thought, Bournemouth must be clear favourites......

Would he play at Bournemouth?
Their squad is stacked. He's got to go somewhere where he'll play regularly.
QPR's London-ness may actually be a threat too
Hopefully Beswicks is our trump card - and MON's powers of persuasion

I'd take Pickering or Doughty at this stage. Both seem to be highly rated.

Of all the London clubs QPR probably scare me the least... Small stadium and they're in danger of playing League One footy next season.
I have to say I love London, should be doing my PGCE in September and I want to do it there. Can see why folk would hate it also.

This just goes to show how much we have dropped. Worried about QPR and Bournemouth signing our targets.

I'm pretty sure he'll choose us over Bournemouth or QPR.
I love how 'Glasgow giants' rangers and celtic are always linked to every single player going out of contract. Neither have a penny to rub together. Giants indeed

Do we even believe Bowyer? Is it possible he’s making this up to drive the price up? He’s not exactly the most likeable of characters is he?
