Don’t mind that.
Is that Clucas, Batth, Smith and Martins Indi who have all been captain this season now?

Brown and Tymon wing backs?
That’s erm, bold.
I do quite like the look of it though.

Brown and Tymon as wing backs???
I'm happy with that - I've no idea if it will work but it is imaginative and has plenty of youth in it!

Didn't Barnsley fans say Brown was at his best at RWB?

Powell lumbering about in midfield?

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/match-reports/aston-villa-stoke-team-live-4566732How will Stoke line up?Michael O’Neill has made eight chances to his starting XI as Stoke City take on Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup last 16. John Obi Mikel is brought into the cup team alongside Jordan Thompson and Nick Powell while Jacob Brown starts at right wing-back and Josh Tymon gets a chance on the left. Harry Souttar stays in from the Preston game and is next to Nathan Collins and Bruno Martins Indi in the middle of defence. Tyrese Campbell and Sam Vokes are partners up front.

This is an attacking team with no little pace (Vokes aside). Everybody has been calling for it so let’s hope it works

God I love that side on paper ... let's hope it works on the pitch.
If those wing backs work, it's going to be incredibly positive for the rest of the season.
Fair play to O'Neill for having the minerals to give it a shot.

Powell lumbering about in midfield? I don’t get why MON tries to play him in the CM. He could be just as effective as he was in the 4231 by playing a 3412 in the number 10 behind the strikers. Instead of a 352. MON loves a flat 3 in midfield though.

Really hope the fact that O'Neill has chosen two DCM's to start, will mean that he will allow Powell to play further forward tonight. 🤞

I might be ignorant about who half that lot are - but not scary, is it? Elmohamady at centre-half? Surely worth a nibble at 5/1?
