Signed Paul Mullin from Cambridge.
League 2 player of the season, so he’s dropped down 2 divisions.
Certainly chucking some money about.

Proper old club(est.1864)still at the racecourse, I lived there for many years (from 11),I remember school still,(Ysgol Bryn offa) "Hey English, say look at the cook book", They always enjoyed that one! Had quite a few digs later for supporting Stoke(especially when they came to Wrexham),had about 30 waiting outside for me ,when I got home from the match one year., Times change,I'm older now, they maybe Welsh twats, but there my Welsh twats, I kinda like it that they are the "Stoke" of Wales. Loved by few, loathed by many! Anyway,I honestly wish them nothing but success.(Not more than Stoke though). (The old law courts/police station in town,is a museum now, always has a good footie section and my favourite sign of all time, "Beware of the falling slag" )

I agree with garthcrooks007. Proper old school club, I was there as a player till early 80s. They have some big plans for the ground and if going well can get a decent crowd too. Tic Tok as shirt sponsors, Hollywood owners, Netflix show. Money to spend.
How long the owners will stay if they don’t get promoted soon is another question.

I wonder how much their owners wealth compares to the rest of the footballing division.

I wonder how much their owners wealth compares to the rest of the footballing division. Reports following the takeover estimated them as being worth about $200 million ($150 million of it from Ryan Reynolds after selling his gin brand not so long back)

Good luck Wrexham. Had a few good away days there in the old days,we always took a good following and the welcome from the locals was very warm. Also had a terrible day there with England. I think that the final score was Wales 4 - 1 England. England fans absolutely took over the town. Worst part of it was that their Manager was a guy called England. Walking back to the pub after the match one of our lads found a wad of cash lying in the road.... Free beers for the rest of the night. This would have been in the 80's if my mind is not playing tricks again.

Attachment DeletedSeeing as Wrexham are getting some coverage on here thought I'd mention seeing Wrexhams new away kit yesterday & whilst it's quite quirky & likely not to everyone's taste, I personally think its a great effort for them by Macron. It's something different & perhaps reminiscent of the Umbro tie necks that Villa & Man U had from the early 90's.

He played the entire game Northy- had a run from the half way line similar to his 86 goal, but this time put it wide of Clemence’s right hand post. Right in front of the goal we were behind- one wolves fan, one forest fan and two stokies , we’d gone down from Uni.- great day!

When he did his run in the 1980 game he spoke to his brother on the phone afterwards. His brother told him he should've took it past Clemence because he'd committed himself. When he did his run in the 1986 game he thought of that when Shilton came out towards him. That's why he took the extra touch to take him past Shilton

Are FFP rules different outside of the football league (well Premier, Championship to EFL2?). I’m surprised that they can throw their weight around in a lower division.

One thing I remember re that England game was the commentator, can't remember who it was but was critical of Fillol saying an English keeper would have held that etc. Fillol was a brilliant keeper and world champion. the Maradona chance was brilliant football. Picked the ball up from Monito about 30 yards out and left 3 or 4 players for dead.
