I am sure they will want to spend as little time in Wrexham as possible. If they head out I am sure there will be a warm welcome for them at the gorgeous Boat Inn Erbistock. It has fond memories for me. In my twenties it was always the de facto choice where to take a lady to impress. It's been some time since I have been there I am sure it has changed, hope not too much though. Idyllic and way off the beaten track, so it's still a good option, especially if the lady isn't your wife Ha ha rumbled after all these years! Is the place still going I really hope so?

Yes, extensively renovated a while ago and changed hands a couple of times. Has to compete with the cross foxes at the top of the road which is very good nowadays also. I've not been to either this year though.

It still blags my mind that Rob McElhenney is married to "sweet Dee" in real life. Suppose it makes sense with just how much they take the piss out of her in the show.

Is it true they are basically making a documentary film that will tear at your heart strings for Amazon Prime ?
Whatever it takes to buy Wrexham coming from the takings.
I can't help thinking I'm being taken for a ride with this story.

Looks like it’s gone through according to the news. Be interesting to see what happens. No doubt there will be some ups and downs and I do hope it works out for them, but these things often end in tears after the initial media hype.

One of them must have some connection to Wrexham a family member supporting them or something, it's good they are getting investment I can remember them getting shafted by previous owners when they were in league one.

It’s an interesting one this. Reynolds seems to have a decent business head on his shoulders given his success with Aviation Gin and Mint mobile so you wouldn’t have thought he was doing this to lose a load of money.

Anything that gets more people to watch It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is good in my books. Decent-ish actor, probably most famous now for playing Deadpool in, err, Deadpool. Not someone's films I'd go and rush out to watch though. I'll be honest, haven't a clue on the other bloke who isn't Reynolds. He's been in stuff I guess Not really appropriate for the thread but it'll give you some idea... I've watched 2 series based on this as never heard it before, It's a bit grim just lots of annoying shouty people, it's getting on my wick and I'm giving it up as time I won't get back.

Ryan Reynolds is one of lifes good guys.
Who is also a terrific actor (funny as), if something like Van Wilder is on telly I will watch just for his deadpan delivery - even playing Deadpool (which is fucking brilliant), he is basically playing...eerrm...Ryan Reynolds in a superhero costume.
He has also shagged some of lifes most beautiful women - wasnt he engaged to Scarlett Johanson too? Blake Lively is stunning too - no rumours of infidelity, no scandal, he rips her a new one on Twitter constantly too!
Wrexham I hope get what they want out of this - investment, success and a slow rise back up the pyramid - I have many fond memories of away days at the Racecourse, including an Macaris era Autoglass game on a Tuesday night where me and mates jumped in my car after work, no directions or maps (or a clue as we were 18/19!) and found our way there for a comfortable win, was a bit ropey getting back to the car!
Lots of Stoke links too? Mickey Thomas the obvious one, Denis Smith was manager there, wasnt Leslie born there or nearby too? We used to regularly loan them players too? Moult, Foster, Bachman? Kevin Russell also a ledge at both clubs
Proper club, mismanaged for decades
Lets face it, Reynolds and co could lose £20-30mill there and it wouldnt even dent his personal wealth!

The first two series and based on the clip? I would've thought someone who enjoyed the clip would enjoy the series. I get where you're coming from though - I don't usually like stuff where all the characters are unlikeable, but I find Always Sunny hilarious.

I had one of the oddest/most brilliant experience as a football fan at Wrexham. I am always in awe of the people who can remember everything about the games they were at. I will certainly never forget that day. I’m sure there must be a couple of folk on here that were involved that day. Maybe I can make it into the film

What a cracking gesture that is. His family must be over the moon with the donation. Not on quite the same level as this donation, but I see Reynolds has been sending crates of his Aviation gin to pubs in Wrexham for free. The feel good factor with the fans must be sky high at the moment. Talk about dropping on!
