Exhibit Number one: Danny Batth 😉 I'd pay good money to watch Danny Batth in a Pep Guardiola side. Guardiola would drop kick him after two minutes Pisser 😂

Some stunt from Man City to lose a match 3-1 where they enjoyed 72% possession!

Very negative from Pep all game both with starting formation and subs. Yeah Sterling missed a sitter but Lyon looked pretty comfortable going forward when they needed to anyway. City need to find another Striker asap fir when Aguero goes - Jesus doesn't even get himself in the box. They were calling for Mahrez to come on and imo he just isn't good enough for a top level side. Guardiola as you say fucked the game right up with negativity. They need a new back 4. You do talk absolute shite at times. I think though half the time you’re on a wind up! Or you’re just never happy! A new back 4? They need a centre half. After that it’s still very good and didn’t they keep the most cleans sheets in the league this season? I think Mahrez would walk into any time in the prem and beyond. You could probably argue not Liverpool but you’d find a place in that team Pep got it wrong tactically. It happens

If Lyon win it the money clubs will all have an obvious excuse to belittle their achievement.

Very lucky he didn’t give away a penalty tonight. Mendy is a full on liability. And the bloke who played there today just seems average. And the only centre half they have who is up to much is Laporte. They’re poor defensively. I expected them to lose this one, they shouldn’t but Lyon were always going to get at their defence and Guardiola was clearly worried about that too and that’s where he paid the price. Re Mahrez he’s average. No way he’d get into Man Yoos side either imo. They had 3 better players on the bench to bring on and he chose him.

Did you predict this anywhere? Most clean sheets in the prem you’ve ignored that Mahrez would get in that team. Greenwood looks a brilliant prospect but has only done it at a very top level in recent months if you ignore the Europa league. Rashford hasn’t been great recently The pen you’re on about was a dive I think you can blame the manager for the defeat tonight

Rashford hasn’t been great recently I think you can blame the manager for the defeat tonight I haven’t ignored it. When a team gets at them they usually buckle. I watched them win 5-1 live this season and wasn’t impressed and thought the opposition (Atalanta) were better. They just look fragile to me. The only player who you can trust defensively is Fernandinho but he tries to use here there and everywhere to plug a gap. Greenwood works with Martial and Rashford. Of if you Ighalo up front there’s no way Mahrez gets in. Guardiola was awful. But I do honestly think they have a fragile defence like when they were playing Vale, you knew Pope would score because they can’t hack that sort of player.

Man City were never going to win the Champions League without Aguero and with a defence as shit as theirs. Sums it up when their best centre half this season is a central midfielder.

Leipzig v Bayern final imo.
Would be a much more understated final but both play entertaining football. A bit like the all German final a few years back.
Can’t see PSG getting through. I don’t think they’re anything above average for the money they’ve spent. Atalanta were the better team last round.

It is amazing the number of goals since lockdown that have been caused by keepers or defenders making a balls up of playing out from the back.

He is, but there were a few moments in advanced positions where Mendy's delivery could've counted. Cancelo either cut back on his right, or just thrashed it into the air! 😂 Anyway, lucky to have the manager we do after watching that 😉 Yeah he did a good impression of McClean at one point which made me smile. Awful cross twatted as hard as he could over everyone. FFS talk about tiresome Champions League thread

Had a few quid on Lyon to beat Man City as did a fair few I think as someone mentioned above they were never going to win the thing and was hardly a shock.

It is amazing the number of goals since lockdown that have been caused by keepers or defenders making a balls up of playing out from the back. It’s ridiculous mate. IMHO that is a big factor in Bournemouth’s relegation. It’s a trend. But because one team does it doesn’t mean everyone has to do it. A few years ago it was the sweeper keeper.

Some stunt from Man City to lose a match 3-1 where they enjoyed 72% possession! Rudi Garcia has a knack of doing that v certain teams to be fair. He basically sets his sides up to bring other teams on to them them hits them with fast counter attacks. He took Marseille to a final doing that and the away games v Leipzig they did exactly that. Great manager who totally saw Man City's weak points for me, ok they rode their luck as they did away to Juve but was always a goal or two on the break. Had £25 on them to beat Man City as IF you can counter attack them you will always have a chance and Jesus is no Aguero. Pep's record in the CL at the latter stages with Man City is pretty lousy
