Man City lost the plot when they got the equaliser, it was odd... oh well.

Man City were woeful - didn't deserve anything from this game.

I thought within the laws of the game the goal should stand. It wasn’t offside and there wasn’t a foul. However I don’t agree with the laws of the game It was a clear foul. They got that wrong. But I don't get how they can't give offside either. There's no way if you're the defender that you don't think that's off. It's inference. I’ll watch again before replying about the foul but it definitely was not offside in the laws of the game which I would expect you’d know

How is someone dummying the ball in an offside position not interferring? Ask UEFA. I absolutely agree but they’re not the rules "A player in an offside position at the moment the ball is played or touched* by a team-mate is only penalised on becoming involved in active play by: clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent" Imo a dummy falls into that.

Very negative from Pep all game both with starting formation and subs.
Yeah Sterling missed a sitter but Lyon looked pretty comfortable going forward when they needed to anyway.
City need to find another striker asap for when Aguero goes - Jesus doesn't even get himself in the box.

They were calling for Mahrez to come on and imo he just isn't good enough for a top level side. Guardiola as you say fucked the game right up with negativity. They need a new back 4.

First time in 29 years...no English, Spanish or Italian clubs in the semi Blame the Coronavirus Interestingly the French League was scrapped with Covid. So Lyon & PSG would have used all that time to prep for CL? Lyon have scrapped their way through and the wastefulness of Juve & Citeh have enabled them to het through. I am not sire of their Jam will hold out v Bayern? But Pep really cocked that up. No Silva or Foden. Dick.

Lyon have had a good run, but to match them up when you have the squad City do is really poor. He had both Silva's and Foden on the bench as well 😬 He even played a RB at LB with Mendy on the bench! I reckon Pep's feeling the pressure / lacking confidence at the min!

Guardiola under pressure? He spoke well post match interview - acknowledging Man City's shortcomings in the match As with De Bruyne, prepared to say well done to Lyon, they took their chances, not looking to make excuses Sterling miss very significant, but he has scored many valuable goals en route to reaching the semis

He is, but there were a few moments in advanced positions where Mendy's delivery could've counted. Cancelo either cut back on his right, or just thrashed it into the air! 😂 Anyway, lucky to have the manager we do after watching that 😉

Awful cross twatted as hard as he could over everyone.

Apart from when he missed a sitter and then laid on a chance for Sterling to unbelievably miss as well you mean? .. I think he's average btw, just proving he does occasionally get in the box

Plus its a bit rich to talk about limitations when you’ve sloshed hundreds of millions on your squad. Praising Lyon for having hard work, organisation and taking chances? That should be the bare minimum for ANY team, regardless of their cost!
