That Leeds cameo was absolutely embarrassing. Subbed on to solidify the defence only to concede 4. I'm not convinced he's any good either but we'll just have to hope we get the Aston Villa promotion version rather than the one that came in 6 months ago. Who would you start alongside Collins in the likelihood Ryan isn't fit? Of the ones we have Batth but we had to sign a new one but not this useless fucker.

Solid deal for the club. Good pro, great experience. Our record with him in the team was solid, barring a few shockers. Stop gap while Collins matures into his own and becomes ready to take the position for himself later this season or early next. Exactly this. He’s hardly fucking Maldini but this deal makes sense

A solid signing in my opinion. I think he definitely improved towards the end of the season and he will provide good cover for a long championship season. Good professional and clearly a positive influence in the dressing room. Not bad considering the market we're shopping in these days.

BMI clearly isn't going to stay to be Fox's deputy and an occasional centre-half starter (MON clearly doesn't fancy him there anyway).
So going to be interesting to see which ones we move out.
Surely it's going to be BMI and Lindsay to start with.
But will Collins and Souttar get enough football here to justify them staying and not being loaned out (or sold in Souttar's case)?

Apparently in his 13 games,we took 24 points. That is not a bad return at all. If he kept that up,it's the playoffs next season!

I've basically mentally prepared myself for every signing we make to be, at best, uninspiring. The excitement comes in hoping that MON has it in him to make a team which is significantly greater than the sum of its uninspiring parts.

It's about time we used the loan market the way it's supposed to be used. This is almost like a loan if it's only for one season. MON also knows the player well after last season, and I trust in his decisions. That said Chester wasn't exactly my favourite player though!

Assuming we don’t sign another centre half Mr Bayern, which two would you play together out of that bunch? And far more importantly which two do you think the manager will pick? Let’s imagine they’re all 100% fit.

Good player. You’re just pissed off because he’s keeping out your hero Collins. Nope. He’s about the worst centre back we’ve had in the last 10 years. Jaw dropping horseshit

For me Batth is our number one centre half and we need strong competition over 46 games. Im not convicned Souttar is good enough for the championship (yet) and Collins is still developing. I dont think we can expect anything more with our transfer budget to be honest.

Decent signing. Got better towards the end of the season, with a decent mini pre-season and on the back of last seasons run in the side he will be better again next season.
Also quite clearly a top professional with a good attitude and will pass on invaluable knowledge to Collins on the fringes.
