How long is this taking the knee shit meant to last? Till the end of the season? Will the FA then be called racist when they stop taking the knee? Are we meant to do it forever? The thing is utterly cringeworthy and hugely embarassing. Bit OTT there scfc. First, I bet that deep down you don't expect it is meant to last forever. Second, please accept the fact that, whilst you claim to find it cringeworthy and embarrassing, most football fans don't. Even the original poster probably doesn't find it embarrassing enough to actually stop supporting Stoke because of it - however much he claims that is what he is going to do. Basically he wants a bit of love and attention because he finds himself with a minority opinion over what has been done at matches this weekend.

What specifically is unequal about the “system”? Educational attainment, unemployment rates, average pay, home ownership, arrest levels, stop and search levels. If you’re black in Britain the colour of your skin is something that regularly affects all aspects of your life. Being white, rarely, if ever, is of any relevance. Unless your a football fan when you get treated like a second rate citizen every other Saturday when attending away matches. When I first saw this taking the knee thing I thought it was a tribute to Brian Dean and Tony Agana they used to that when one of them scored for Sheffield UtD.

“Who do you support mate?” “Well it used to be Stoke but then they took a stand for racism along with every other football club and because I’m a big fucking racist, that was the breaking point for me. Not the extortionate costs, not the millionaire footballers, no, it was the that there was a movement to highlight racism is still rife in 2020.” Off you fuck. And anyone else who has a problem with it as it “politics and football shouldn’t mix”. What a cop out that is as well. You can fuck off too. Thoroughly embarrassed and ashamed reading some of the posts on here. Thankfully it’s a minority intent on getting their racist, backward views across. Thanks to anyone who has put them in their place. Fucking wankers. I'm normally very polite and respectful and take far more abuse, but what a crock of strawman bollocks that all is. Black Lives Matter will do nothing positive of any actual value for black people. And neither do they own black people, their problems, or the debate. I will judge it by its outcomes. And the fact that people are abusing and labelling each other tells me everything I need to know. Pitting the disenfranchised against the disenfranchised is the hallmark of every Soros-sponsored protest movement. A news story from the US, made viral by a controlled news agenda, has no relation to the UK. And this nonsense has no place in football. End of.

Come on though mate we both know it's all getting a little riduculous and many players are doing it out of absolute fear of not doing it. Can you imagine if a player refuses to do it? They'd be immediately villainised on the main headline of bbc news and their career ruined in a split second. Anyone who can't see that this BLM extremism is in fact causing far more divide then ever before is on another planet. Its like brexit all over again and is the talk of the town wherever you go. And just like Brexit, the silent majority is a lot larger than you might think. I firmly believe the ordinary football fan just doesn't want to see this stuff in their faces every game.

Are you related to Dominic Rab? In no way can I be described as fan of the NFL. But just by watching the news a few times, I knew that the origin of Taking the Knee related to the protest by Colin Kaepernick before NFL games in the USA. Even if I hadn't been aware of it when he started doing it, I would have become aware of it when Donald Trump (surprise surprise) came out so strongly against it - which also made the national news over here on several occasions.

In theabove MOTD clip, Alex Scott mentions Dion Dublin's story (on yesterday's Football Focus) about a racist incident he experienced. If anyone with more talent than me can find the Dion Dublin clip and post it on here, it is well worth a watch. Full clip including Micah Richards (under 4 minutes long): www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/53121327Just Dion:

Still think this is the reason McClean didn’t start yesterday as he would probably have refused to bow to public pressure

Full clip including Micah Richards (under 4 minutes long): www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/53121327Just Dion: There’s no denying there are individual racists in this country (as there are in every country) but the fact that Dion Dublin says he was shocked by it suggests it’s not actually that widespread, if it were why would he have been so shocked by it ? He’s a black man who’s been paid thousands to play football and present day time tv shows, if we were a systemically racist country this wouldn’t be possible. As I’ve said in a previous post, we’re not a systemically racist country, imo the left is resurrecting it for political purposes, we don’t need big campaigns like blm, all it’s achieving is to reanimate the divide, but why ? Black people are doing perfectly fine in this country, they have all the same opportunities as white people.
