I thought Starmer came across well today in PMQs.He was concise, accurate and steady just as a Lawyer should be.Hope yet. It would appear that is not a unanimous view... Starmer is a fanny isn't he? He's more 'one of them' than they are!

He's more 'one of them' than they are! I think his forensic approach will play pretty well particularly against an infamously poorly briefed politician such as Johnson but it's fair to say I'm more of this belief...

I thought he was abysmal from the bits I've seen, at one point I thought he was going to get a rendition of "3 cheers for the government" going. I'm sure the general consensus was that he was "forensic" and "grown up" in the media though.......

I thought that was quite droll. Bring back spitting image. They’d have a field day with the likes of Johnson, Grove, Starmer, JC, Nippy not to mention JRM, wee Rory and so many more.

I didnt know much about him beforehand but he is having an excellent start to his leadership.
Not shouting, no bluster. Clear, calm and concise.
👍 from me, so far.

I’m not particularly impressed by his current stance, and some of the noises coming out of the PLP so far. And what’s even more telling is the type of people in the media fawning over him. The type that will turn on him if he deviates even slightly from the path they hope he takes, but back him if he remains all so comfortably centrist.......

His current "forensic" analysis will just get lost in the chaos of PMQ's once we're back to normality. There was a 21 minute exchange between Starmer and Raab at one point this afternoon from a 45 minute session, half the back benchers weren't able to ask their questions because of it. It was hard going......

Maybe he thinks it’s not quite the right time to lay into the Government and is biding his time knowing that when he does,he might recapture a few voters for the future.

Seems like a sensible, intelligent, trustworthy bloke with a bit of gravitas.
I think they've done well with him, I'm impressed.
They look like they might actually be able to launch a grown-up, serious challenge to the Tories now, instead of this silly little idealising and incessant negativity and criticism.

It all seems a bit Judean Peoples front / peoples front of judea although they will obvs they probably prefer to be the palestinian peoples front etc

The post about Bobby Sands whether or not you support Ireland in their cause is ridiculous and should be taken down by Labour. But we will see.Labour has always been a fragile group of people all wanting the same cause but with different ways of going about it.Tories are different in this sense.

Mandela involved in the death of 69 people

Wiki say's his family got threatened because they lived in protestant areas and he was bullied at school and work. Anymore?

Anymore? I think twice being hounded out of house, home and employment under threats of death probably sums it up a bit more accurately.
