Burgon gone now. It's a real Corbyn cleansing. Burgon in a wide field has to be the worst and thickest politician of my lifetime that he was a massive corbyn fan tells you everything.

Are we on Starmerism now then, or Johnsonism? Or do nonsense labels just apply to the leadership of Jeremy Corbyn. I'm not a member of the Labour Party and never have been, I see and hear the same as everyone else. But it's fairly clear the party is shifting to the right. Starmer in my opinion will use the Coronavirus outbreak as a way of ditching some of Corbyn's policies and go down the centrist route. But let's wait and see I guess, one thing's for sure if the boot was on the other foot the papers would be calling this a "Stalinist purge" of "moderate" Labour MP's...... Very few people get an ‘ism” after their name. Thatcher did, I’m not sure anyone else did before Corbyn. I guess it’s when an individual gets associated with a radically different approach. I’d does seem the PLP is reasserting control from the CLPs which would mean moving right. I guess the big test of this will be how the NEC shapes up going forward. As I understand things, they shape Labour policy. I expect to hear 'Blairite' a lot in the coming weeks.

It was like a breath of fresh air hearing him speak with such clarity, as opposed to this shutdown captive audience party political double speak we’ve had for the past fortnight. I don’t know what will kill us first C19 or Tory bü!!$#!t.

A place for RLB, I stand corrected on that one...... It's a gesture to keep folks like you in the party. A bit like Prescott being in New Labour and Campbell telling us in his diaries that Blair hardly ever invited him to meetings. Many's the time John would arrive huffing and puffing only to find it was finished and everyone was leaving.

I really hope Blair wades in on the side of Starmer It will do him the world of good to have a rampant eu supporting war criminal given him a hand maybe he could convince him to sell parts of the NHS off in deals that cost a fortune Or even better I'm sure Starmer could do with a couple of quid for advising dodgy former soviet republics

Can I remind you of our agreement? This should be a day of celebration for you anyway, the 'biggest political movement in Europe' has got some new members. Go and celebrate 😊 We have no agreement, it's just a faceless keyboard warrior giving it the big one every time his waffle gets responded to. Anyway I'm sure you have a hilarious example of a Dianne Abbott gaffe to share, underneath a picture of Dawn Butler. These Jews, and black people, they all look the same to you don't they fella? What on Earth are you babbling on about you utter cretin? I've challenged racism when I've come across it (perpetrated by white folks on a black chap) so your rant is as incorrect as it is misguided and lacking in any ounce of originality. 'a faceless keyboard warrior giving it the big one every time his waffle gets responded to'. If the cap fits, no-mark 😎

Lady Nugee was always a shoe-in right? Those London lawyers were never going to leave each other out. Lammy's a right laugh though. Cue the clip with Andrew Neil where Lammy's saying the police are deliberately understating the Grenfell deaths. What a hoot. Anyway, has anyone done the inevitable remain/leave breakdown? I got this from yesterday. Remain, remain, remain (ex-MEP), remain, remain, remain and remain. Although Raynor was a bit on the fence wasn't she? Probably didn't understand the question. All the runners and riders from The Independents Rentoul. Including those that got the Spanish Archer. Interesting point. A Shadow Cabinet of 32 to shadow the actual cabinet of 23. Also, in the same Labour press release; 15 male, 17 female and 7 BAME MP's. It's almost like they started with those numbers first then found the faces to fit.

That's what I was reading but to be fair, some of the linked websites looked highly dodgy, and the other one was the Daily Mail 😁

That's what I was reading but to be fair, some of the linked websites looked highly dodgy, and the other one was the Daily Mail 😁 He apologised for the mistakes they made to be fair. Would have been nice to see him get what was coming when alive but wasn't to be. It isn't made up or some smear campaign is something that was widely reported at the time. I think were 4 cases that weren't properly investigated but he died a year or two later I think.

The Savile case is interesting. The classic, I was in charge but it wasn't my fault. Or as Corbo would say, I was there but not involved. In 2007 a victim comes forward with a story that Savile had kissed her (I think) back in the 70's when she was a young teenager and Savile is interviewed under caution. By 2009 another 3 victims come forward. All with similar stories. Inappropriate touching, kissing, squeezing etc. enough now for the Surrey police to create a file and submit it to the Crown Prosecution Service, CPS. The head of the CPS was the Director of Public Prosecutions, Keir Starmer. The file didn't get processed further. Fast forward 2 years, Savile dies in late 2011 and a year later after hundreds of victims come forward it's found that the CPS decided there was 'not enough evidence' to prosecute back in 2009. The Guardian reports that all four of the victims refused to continue to prosecution so the CPS had to drop the case. I find that odd. Why would you go to the police in the first place. Submit interviews, evidence, statements and you realise you're not alone but when the CPS come knocking you back down. I understand maybe 1 or 2 victims might back out but all 4!?! The newspaper never mentions Starmer. The Independent goes with a different angle. Here Starmer is proactive. He's 'launching an inquiry'...... into his own organisation. He distances himself from the findings by asking his Principal Legal Adviser to review files so he can act and surprise, surprise up pops his old mate and brand new Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade Emily Thornberry, aka, Lady Nugee. She of course 'welcomes' his actions. She's disappointed the CPS failed to act. Not the Head of the CPS failed to act. When Starmer is ever asked about this episode he says the Savile file 'never crossed his desk'. If it had, he would have been all over it. So as head of the CPS and the 3rd highest legal voice in the country he was 'unaware' that a file on Jimmy Savile had been received by his organisation. A file on a BBC veteran of 50 years. A file years in the making and containing consistent testimonies which have since been proved to be the tip of the biggest paedophile iceberg in the UK. Ever. Believe what you will.
