Israel hasn’t abided by international law for decades what makes you think there about to now
I don’t know about that. What I do know is that Hamas definitely don’t give a fuck.
To clarify I’m not saying I personally agree with what Israel are currently doing or what they have done in the past.
Objectively though if they are going after Hamas in a way that adheres to international then it is morally defensible from Israel’s perspective.
If they aren’t then obviously it isn’t morally defensible.
I completely understand calls for a ceasefire but I don’t see how that’s tenable for Israel given the circumstances, asking them to stop fighting and just wait for the next Hamas attack, which will come because Hamas don’t care about ceasefires or international laws as they have repeatedly demonstrated.
I've followed it quite closely and here are many of my unanswered questions I ponder over.
- How did October 7th happen?
- An IDF soldier is quoted warning Israel of activity, it was ignored. Why?
- America confirmed that Egypt warned them of something big coming from Gaza. Why was it ignored by Israel?
- If Israel is the one under threat that needs to defend itself. Why have they killed 20x as more palestines in the 15 years before October 7th?
- Why have multiple Israeli witnesses said the IDF fired on them?
- Why did some communities not receive a response from Israeli forces until 6 hours + after reporting.
- Why are there tank tracks outside blown up houses?
- Why was the festival moved 2 days before and the two organisers missing?
- Why is there pictures of Israeli tanks at the festival yet so many people died?
- How does a country who alleges they're under such threat and has so much surveillance get totally blind sided?
- Why did they claim babies were beheaded but then had no proof?
- Why over a month later does the list of those dead and those hostage still regularly change?
- If 1500 hamas soldiers died on October 7th, why isn't there pictures when they're willing to release photos of much worse?
- Why is it alleged Israel has disagreed with releasing certain hostages?
- Why when Shireen Abu Akleh was murdered in 2022 did Israel produce 5 different series of events blaming others until evidence came out showing them murdering a journalist?
- Why did the police attack mourners ar her funeral for no reason?
- Why was the former prime minister who agreed a peace deal assassinated. Who was actually behind that?
- Why did Israel then go against the Oslo accords agreement and refuse other proposed peace deals?
- Why does the west bank, with no hamas pretense, keep getting smaller with people's lands and homes being taken by armed Israelis
- Why do Palestines historically and currently get treated like second class citizens?
- Why when a hospital was bombed did an Israeli minister tweet immediately celebrating it. Then the tweet was deleted and then through multiple streams they produced fake evidence to show it was hamas which was debunked multiple times?
- Why did they protest so much that they don't attack hospitals?
- Then a few weeks later they're now admitting they are attacking hospitals. So clearly they were always prepared to do it. Did they lie the first time?
- Why does the country which sees itself as the victim with a need to defend itself feel like it needs to pay people to attend marches and post on social media to drill up support?
- Why do they feel they need to target adverts at children and adults on YouTube and such?
- Why so much focus on propoganda?
- Does the massive oil reserves found in Gaza recently have any influence?
- Why does every person condemning Israel have to spend 95% of their interview talking about hamas and 7th October. Yet any Israeli supporter barely gets questioned on Israels actions?
- Why are so many opponents being labelled as antisemetic to silence them?
- Why is from the sea to the river Palestine will be free so bad but "Israel has the right to defend itself and flatten Gaza and take the land to eradicate hamas" acceptable?
- Why do none of our many journalists honestly report on what the chant from Palestine actually mean?
- Why so much effort and focus to label those marching for a ceasefire as hamas supporters and terrorists and hate marchers?
- But marching to continue bombing innocent people makes you peaceful?
- Why do so many jewish and Israeli people show solidarity for what's happening in Gaza and want a ceasefire? Why do they not feel threatened yet our media makes out its different?
- Why does nobody want to dicuss west bank? Why does the media just completely ignore it because it shows Israel up?
- How can I or anybody trust anything Israel says when there is so much evidence of them lying both historically and in the present?
- How does bombing Gaza get rid of Hamas when hamas have underground networks out of Gaza and leadership in Qatar?
- How many hospitals need bombed to get rid of the bunkers?
- Why does there seem to be little focus on releasing hostages with lots of family criticising Israelis response?
- Why did this change ever since the hostage got released and gave an interview which made Israel look bad?
- Why have so many journalists been murdered?
- Why tell people to flee south to be safe and then bomb the south?
- Why so much focus on "human shields" when it's one of the most densely populated areas in the world. Of course they're going to live amongst eachother.
- Why are so many people happy to accept this as a justification for murdering civllians?
- Why shut off water, electric and communications?
- Why bomb schools and refugee camps?
- Why murder people in refugee camps regularly the last number of years?
- Why physically beat orthodox Jews in the streets of Israel for not being zionists?
- Why continually be able to break international law without repercussion?
- Why do so many Israeli Lobbies donate such significant sums to politicians in the west? Does this influence their decision making? How would it be seen if it was Russian donations?
- Why have so many Israelis been campaigning against the PM over the last year?
- Does this help increase support for the lesder? Does his history of corruption concern anyone?
I've got many more. It doesn't add up and while I'm sure Israel has been honest about alot of things, there is also a significant amount of times they've found to lie. That along with paying out so much money to politicians, digital advertising, influences and protestors to influence opinion and spread propoganda raises huge eyebrows. And once the eyebrows are raised you need to go back and think through everything.
