A gamble indeed. Cummings has made it his business to make an enemy of the press. They're hardly likely to let it go.

If there was a general election next week these fuckers wouldn't be getting my vote again. Johnson's terminal absence from public broadcasts puts the top hat on it, i can't believe the PM of a country could be soooo missing in a time of crisis. Looks like i fell for the bluster and bullshit. Johnson should come out and make a statement about this. Does he really support Cummings or not? Just watch him and see if he is lying. You Always know when Johnson is lying. His lips move. Doubt we will see him till he addresses the nation to tell us we can now go for a fucking shit up the fields with a can of beer.

But boy won't Cummings have some dirt on Johnson.

www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/may/23/new-witnesses-cast-doubt-on-dominic-cummingss-lockdown-claimsCummings was seen by another witness in Barnard Castle on Easter Day, 30 miles away from Durham, the investigation found. The town, which takes its name from the English Heritage site at its centre, is a popular destination for days out. Robin Lees, 70, a retired chemistry teacher from the town, says he saw Cummings and his family walking by the Tees before getting into a car around lunch time on 12 April. Lees said: “I was a bit gobsmacked to see him, because I know what he looks like. And the rest of the family seemed to match - a wife and child. I was pretty convinced it was him and it didn’t seem right because I assumed he would be in London.” He added: “I went home and told my wife, we thought he must be in London. I searched up the number plate later that day and my computer search history shows that.”

The Tories have already gone "all in" on the defense but the public seem furious and even the friendly journalists might not want to be so exposed with the mounting pressure. Will they all just disappear for a week?

Outboxed by the liberal media, he’s going to be happy about this.
By this I mean this must have been lined up and they let it sit, let the government show do its thing then drop this.

This government is as hypocritical and sickening as they come but are the really any different to the self serving administrations of the past.
I'm only surprised anybody is surprised.
This will lead to chaos and people doing as they please soon.
Usual one rule for them and another for everybody else sadly.

Alexander Boorish Piffle Johnson is due to appear before the Commons Liaison Committee Next Wednesday. Even having fixed the the Chairmanship of this Committee does anyone think he will turn up to answer questions? Do we think bet365 could open a book on this?

The current alternative still doesn’t look does it I think we can all agree we're in the shit at the moment. If you were in the shit in different circumstances - say lost in the jungles of Papua New Guinea - who would you prefer to have with you? You know, selflessness, teamwork etc. Starmer and Nandy or Johnson and Patel? Genuine question, serious answer please.
