I asked my mate that, he's been told all UK production to cease across all sites with immediate effect. Think Dyson must have stepped in instead fella..... It's a bit of a worry though, if it's turned out that that these companies aren't actually capable of manufacturing them. I'd love to know WHY JCB are now not going to manufacture them. I think having a confirmed case at Rocester can’t have helped their cause much.

Where do directors drawing a dividend stand? 🧐 ^^This^^ I’ve been trying to work out how my better half goes on. She has her own limited company working from home and doesn’t employ anyone. She gets her salary as drawings and only upto about £12k per year. All her work has dried up but doesn’t seem to be any financial help for her or others in the same boat unless anyone knows otherwise

I heard something this morning which surprised me. When the call went out for companies to make ventilators only a high level spec was made available. From that I concluded that thw NHS don't actually have a manufacturing spec. I don't know who does but it suggests whoever they are won't make it available. I can therefore see why Dyson could come up with something - R&D in blowy/sucky things is their stock in trade - but hardly core business for a digger manufacturer. Also seems Dysons delivery is a few weeks away as it still has to be tested even before manufactured.

Are there that many people doing that sort of thing now? Generally it seems people are adhering to this. Had a stroll around Fenton last night for my exercise and it was completely dead, no cars, a handful of people spread out, it was surreal. I think thankfully it’s just a few knobheads that aren’t taking this seriously, and they should be charged accordingly. Same here. I've taken the dog a walk last few days around streets. Only seen few people during 20 mins out to which everyone has kept distance away.

JCB never seemed a good match. A company call GTECH is supposedly going to produce 1000 a day: www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-hereford-worcester-52015736/coronavirus-gtech-designs-prototype-ventilator

No doubt Arsenal fans will say it's Ryan Shawcross. As brutal as that is, it's not Italy...

Update in Italy 662 dead today. Number of critical up just under 200. Seems to have risen to 713 deaths and new cases is well over 6000. Again a reminder to anyone looking at trends over short periods like 2 or 3 days, don't get your hopes up unnecessarily.

I would guess that the normal furlough rules would apply? She isn't self employed.
Her salary isn't drawings (drawings are for S/E people)

Hmmm ok so just walking in the fresh air minding your own business is now under police drone observation.... Just let that sink In. As far as i could see these folks in the video were just out enjoying the countryside. Y'know like we've done for millennia. I appreciate the restrictions and all but this is state Big Brother We'll all be able to do it again in a few weeks if people just listen. What happens if they crash their car on the way there? They trip on their walk and break an ankle? They're going to need help - and what if they have the virus, how many people are they putting at risk then? I appreciate that these things can happen in every day life but the idiots driving their are going out of their way to do so. Our NHS is going to be creaking soon, don't be a dick and just wait for a few weeks to give us all a chance. The counter arguement would be why do we need half a million volunteers when we've got coppers with nowt better to do with their time than spy on hikers in the middle of nowhere?

I’m not one for politics me, I can’t stand any of it or the people that work within it, but that Sunak is putting on a mightily impressive showing so far. Yes he's impressive isn't he? I'm loving that CMO, Jenny Harries. No question ever seems to faze her and she has a reassuring presence about her.

I saw something on Twitter (forget the source) that the initial count had not included deaths in Piemonte.

Where do directors drawing a dividend stand? 🧐 It was suggested on the radio, a few mins ago, that profits claimable will not include dividends.

Very impressive, it’s impossible to please all of the people but I’m extremely impressed with him so far, I dread to think of the chaos if this was a Corbyn ran government. I’ve never voted either before I get that one thrown at me.

For those of us old enough to remember, it's like Sunday used to be in the 70's when shops etc couldn't open Ah those were the days! And half-day closing on Wednesdays... 🙂 Half day used to be Thursday where I lived. Most shops closed for lunch 1pm - 2pm.
