This is fantastic for climate change. Did the unwashed xr dudes invent a virus? Wouldn't think so it'll be going through their squats like wildfire. 😄

Latest here:
Several countries hate us (and will take action against Sweden when all this is over it seems, not trading etc), since we do hardly anything.
Most people do work, schools are still open, trams and buses go. And up to 500 people are allowed to come together, that's the line. Testing primarily only the severe cases.
Coming Actions: Discussions about mass testing. (But how will it be organized?)
They now count on hundreds (or more) of dead or severely sick people within 3-4 weeks.
too little, too slow ...

Here's a situation that's arising at my work place to pick the bones of. Work is drying up but some of our work can be argued essential (Payroll, Company accounts etc). The IMO best worker has had the NHS letter today confining him to home for 12 weeks. A worker who is lets say not near his level of output is probably going to be furlough by the end of the week. This will give us a situation of a good worker picking up SSP whilst the crap worker gets 80% pay. Have they got to go on sick pay? I get they've had the letter but can work not decide to just furlough them themselves by their own directive? That's the big question isn't it. The boss is worried that him getting the letter means he's now in the system as being directed to stay at home on SSP. As yet we don't no what system/forms will be needed to claim furlough. Will he get in trouble trying to furlough a worker that should be on SSP ?

Interesting fact:
Somalia born people are overrepresented in the Swedish Corona deaths stats. It's more than 30% of the death cases in our capital city.

Starting to show what's important is health and family. Hopefully we'll make some societal changes after this that reflect that.

This is fantastic for climate change. Did the unwashed xr dudes invent a virus? Don't be daft. I though everyone knew the Chinese invented it so they could take over the global economy while it was shut down. Obviously they had to test it on a few of their owm folk first just to make sure it worked properly, but now they've got a vaccine that's stopped it in it's tracks which they're not going to share with anyone until they've ramped up production and got their bids on place to take over western businesses that are on their knees . Global domination beckons and we'll all be speaking Mandarin soon.

However they probably live and socialise in closer proximity to each other than most of the ethnic Swedish population. So if one gets it then it's likely to spread pretty quickly amongst them.

Yes, I just read some more about it. It's also a tradition in Somalia to visit each other when you're sick, it said.

You'd like to think so but you just know their will be twats like Philip Green, Richard Branson, Mike Ashley and others already planning who and what they can exploit once this settles down.

It's looking highly likely in the next 48 Hours Spain will pass China in the number of deaths, and they've been in lockdown for a week longer than us.
So much for the hope of this virus not liking the warmer climate that summer brings.

It's staggering really. It's like a lot of our citizens unlike the rest of Europe have a complete disregard for keeping safe, social distancing and the like. And then you see some of the videos and pics of people hoarded together in shops, the tube, at parks and you just think 'Why do you not care?' And then those knobheads doing the 'Coronavirus challenege' licking bottles on shelves. They are putting so many lives at risk. But to have someone who is clearly at the vulnerable age stage have that attitude angers me even more. Just because she reckons she's had her innings doesn't mean someone else has to cash their chips in as well. We should be allowed to smash said bottles over their stupid fucking skulls, God I hate what this World has become selfish thoughtless brain dead twats. 500 hours of Community Service.....working in a Covid 19 mortuary.

Polls showing 93% approval. Opinion poll putting Tories up to mid 50%s. Rapidly heading past Blair’s figures as the most popular PM ever. A crisis brings support for leadership. In the US Trump’s approval ratings are also up. It’s a funny old world, but this crisis will cement Boris as PM for over a decade if he wishes. It's your post and photos of torched delivery vans that make me realise that this country has lost it. How Boris can come out of this with any credit is beyond me. Mark my words, he will be voted Greatest Briton of the 21st Century.

Dreadful dreadful attitude Truly shocking but there are lots of very ignorant people out there like this. This is really what we are dealing with. Somewhere along the line (quite some time ago too) our Education system went badly wrong! We ahave fostered such a self-obsessed group of people in this country with no sense of community. This is so selfish. The problem is that we all think our beliefs are more important than other peoples. THEY ARE NOT. In fact, other people's are more important or at least equally important. Whatever I think about Boris Johnson or Jeremy Corbyn, or where or how this virus started is totally irrelevant, that should not determine how I act towards other people and other people's wishes. It's about respecting other people's fears and anxieties and health and lives. Total lack of respect and awareness of other people and their needs is what we are seeing. Needs addressing in the long term, for those of us who will get a long term!

More contradiction and confusion then, he's just literally said in Parliament that it's a complex issue and he doesn't yet have a proposal for them! And yet you wanted him (Sunak) to be PM a couple of days ago. No I didn't, I said he would make a better fist of it than the clown currently doing the job.

I have a depressing feeling that all this is bringing about a reset of Capitalism, not a change to progressive attitudes towards quality of life, workers rights, the NHS and so on. Still, at least there's half a chance that the multi millionaire wankers in charge of some of these companies - Weatherspoons, JD Sports et al - may get their comeuppance. And before anyone starts on about businesses that attract a lower working class customer, that's precisely why I want them to get their comeuppance, because that's precisely the type of people they exploit with their shit products, shit wages, shit everything.

I shouldn't laugh but the government have totally lost control they never had and they've allowed the tail to wag the dog. Pathetic isn't the word. Johnson should resign after this. After last night's pathetic confusion, I'm surprised he's still in a job. Popularity grows out of Fear. It happens with Wars. Leaders always gain popularity. Everyone wants the PM to be right because the fear of him not getting right is too much to bear. Everyone's insecurities are expressed through wanting to having the feeling of having someone who leads.

The real tragedy is that the caller isn't the result of some Academy lite education, or the old fashioned secondary modern, this is someone who was at school in the 1960s, which incidentally, the model the current Prime Minister, Home Secretary and Education secretary and their teams want us to return to. Pile of bollocks. If we learn nothing from what is going on right now globally, including climate change, mutating viruses, the licensing of medical research and whatnot, I don't give humanity another hundred years, absolute tops.
