If the middle classes are wiped out, who will drive the economy, who will buy the globalists goods and services? By then, the super elites will have everything they need. This economy will have served its purpose and run its course. A system of super elites and serfdom is the Great Reset. TBH mate that sounds like a serious stretch

What would you have done last weekend that you couldn't under the current guidelines just out of interest? I'll tell you what I'd have done. I'd have gone to see my elderly relative who's in hospital, alone and confused, but isn't allowed any visitors. I've another in a care home, not been able to see him for months now, condition slowly getting worse due to being deprived of vital contact with family. Those who claim there is 'no lockdown' don't have relatives in these situations. I feel your pain. My mum went into hospital last November, from then until her death in January she went from hospital to care home back to hospital back to care home. She died frightened, confused and feeling abandoned by her family because she couldn't understand what was going on. I'm convinced she'd still be alive today if we'd been allowed to visit and comfort her.

I'm pleased this thread has now been relegated to the everything else section, it's just become a thread for the likes of Kevin the Teenager etc to say how unfair and inconvenient all the restrictions are and constantly saying how they are going to riot and rebel against the system. Very boring. Where’s that Vietnam variant you said was a “fucker”. Is it on it’s way up the M6? It's waiting for Stoke to be relegated?

Good job nobody wants to go abroad on holiday then. i'd love to go abroad, I booked a holiday to Pembrokeshire instead and can't wait to go. In the grand scheme of things sacrificing a holiday abroad until the Autumn of 2021 or 2022 is not the end of the world........ And in 9,984 cases out of 10,000, neither is getting Covid the end of the world.

They're not struggling but total control is not achieved until all independent means of living and travel is completely removed, and a cashless global digital ID prison is created. Total dependency on a globalist state. Conjecture of course, but it's not far off what their own documents infer. And all signs suggest its moving that way.

Gone to a club, gone away on holiday knowing I wouldn't have to isolate and lose money when I got back, gone to a wedding with more than thirty people and enjoyed a dance, traveled on public transport without being muzzled, walk around a pub or restaurant without being muzzled, met up with more than six people, go to the theatre and cinema without being muzzled, go to a gig, go to a sporting event with a full crowd and enjoyed some atmosphere, not stopped from going into a shop because there's already 4 people in there (happened to me twice last week), not having to squirt chemicals on my hands every 5 minutes, not having to give out personal details to all and sundry just so I can enjoy a drink or a meal. If I've missed anything out I do apologise A nice added bit of hyperbole for good measure, of course many of the "muzzling" restrictions involve a 30 second walk to your seat, and "squirting chemicals on your hands every 5 minutes" in reality is just good hygiene practice...... So is abstaining from sex with casual partners, but that is a choice that is yours to make not something that some totalitarian government forces on you. Tell me, would you be happy if the government decides to continue lockdown through the winter to prevent flu?

No. With a fully vaccinated adult population with vulnerable people being given a booster jab why would they? Because they've extended a lockdown in the middle of summer based on out of date conjecture even though everyone most at risk of this has been double jabbed now. First it was the over 70's and 80's need jabbing, they were most at risk, then the over 60's were at risk, then the over 50's were at risk, then the over 40's were at risk, then the over 30's were at risk, now 18-30 year olds are apparently at risk. Who's at risk next? Foetuses? Goldfish? House plants? The world has ground to a halt for two years for what is essentially in simple terms a basic respiratory illness, we're fucked if something truly lethal ever gets out.

The world hasn't come to a halt, and we will get back to normal. Not that I think that there is anything great about "normal" bearing in mind the issues with mental illness, homelessness, food banks and with other people marginalised in society all existed pre-Covid when a large percentage of people just didn't give a shit.......

We are slowly moving to a situation where lockdowns and restrictions become the norm. As I have said before, the norms of society have been carefully turned on their head. BEFORE: You could do anything you liked as long as the law didn't expressly forbid it. NOW: You cannot do anything unless the law expressly allows it. We are in very dangerous territory, and if the public don't wake up and realise what's going on very soon, it'll be too late - if it isn't already.

On a slightly different point its scary how flu and winter virus are already been talked of in the same tone as Covid by the government, as if they are as prevalent and dangerous. Definitely an agenda here, why though I'm not so sure?

You've just completely avoided the question, which is fine. From what I've seen on this message board you've supported lockdowns and restrictions consistently. In fact we've had many debates over it. I'm asking a pretty reasonable question, at what point would you feel we now have to get rid of all restrictions and reclaim our lives? Of course, you don't have to answer but it's a fair question. Work may have been great for you, staying employed, in hotels, doing the things you like doing and that's great. But for many millions, they've lost everything from jobs, income, social life, family and in many cases their life - Be it by suicide, untreated illness or many others. I just find it a bit mystifying that you criticise elites, yet have been fairly supportive of the restrictions that elites have put on your life.

I've not been supportive or otherwise, I've merely commented on things as I've seen them unfold and tried to get on with my life in the best way possible. And work hasn't been great for me, at times it's been very hard and very stressful, but I am thankful to be in employment as is my wife. What I find mystifying is the issues you talk about aren't new issues, I've continued to volunteer throughout the pandemic for a homeless charity and the support for those plagued by mental illness isn't there now, like it wasn't there pre-2020. Neither did many people give thought to the the homeless ex-squaddies on the street, or the families using foodbanks to keep their heads above water. Did you care about austerity, did you really give a shit about those suffering? Or are you a champion of these good causes all of a sudden because you've been personally affected on this occasion. Be honest with yourself.......

My middle child has really suffered during lockdown to a point where we had to get intervention. Getting on with my life in difficult circumstances isn't the same as "everything is fine for me"................

Be honest with yourself. As it happens I wasn't a champion of austerity. I was a big champion of restructuring the NHS, the civil service and other areas of the public sector. But "restructuring" doesn't just mean spunking a load of money away while retaining some of the clowns running some of these services - Many of whom are on six figure salaries themselves. Personally I think reopening has always and tragically now, will always, be up for debate. It was always pretty obvious to me once the government and governments behavioural scientists (SAGE and Co) saw how quickly you could indoctrinate, spread fear and then subsidise compliance, they were never going to let that power go without a fight. Thousands of years of politics tells us that! We are already seeing indirect threats of more lockdowns this winter. We've got to stop complying if we want to move forward. In terms of the homeless charity stuff you do I wouldn't do anything other than compliment your work on that. Homelessness has become a real virtue signalling card where many profess to care deeply but do nothing.

Funnily enough there are people on this thread (not you by the way) who did seem to have issue with mass gatherings of protestors when it came to the death of Sarah Everard, anti racist gatherings, those protesting the treatment of Palestinian citizens by the Israeli regime etc etc. Good luck to you, and don't forget if the police start getting baton happy you shouldn't have been there and you probably deserved it......

Yeah I just find it odd that the new stock response from those in favour of lockdowns and restrictions is "what are you gonna do about it". All pretty mystifying stuff 😂 Why do you assume that anyone who doesn't agree with you is "in favour of lockdowns and restrictions"? There are plenty of things I'm not necessarily in favour of that I don't bang on about daily. If I thought the existing restrictions were going to be permanent I would be up in arms - but I don't - I believe that initially they were proportionate, I believe they are now getting past their sell by date and I believe that by this time next year they will be history. That's what I believe - I may be wrong - but in the context of everything else I'll just get on with my life as I've got bigger priorities right now. If you believe something different then fine and if you're going to make your voice heard on Saturday then also fine and respect for doing so - (I'll not be slagging you off as anti vaxx nutjobs as you'd slag off 'woke warriors' for a protest you didn't support) stay safe. But thats your perogative -but it doesn't confer you a right to pigeonhole everyone who doesn't precisely share your world views as deluded stooges of some imaginary woke elite colluding to crush your liberties under the guise of a pandemic. I know you like your TalkRadio and your GB News where polar opposites are pitched against each other to provide bear pit entertainment. But it's probably better if the real world doesn't try to mimic that.

But for many millions, they've lost everything from jobs, income, social life, family and in many cases their life - Be it by suicide, untreated illness or many others. I just find it a bit mystifying that you criticise elites, yet have been fairly supportive of the restrictions that elites have put on your life. I might have a bit of a go at answering the question with regards to why I'm listening to people who're in main idiots largely out of touch with reality. I adhere to the restrictions not for my individual benefit and there have been many times to my detriment I've adhered to them but do so in the hope it will help other people. I generally believe that fewer interactions will result in less spread of the disease which will lead to fewer deaths and end the restrictions sooner. I think I'd start considering my options if deaths remained under 20 for 4 more weeks and unlocking did not continue. I think this is the first time in the entire pandemic the government has been cautious and what we do know is that if they'd have been more cautious other times it would have saved many lives so I'm not going to feel too aggrieved at where we are now. I think back to last summer where we thought we had this sorted and then before we knew if we were in a terrible position.
