People have been psychologically trained into accepting this 'normal', without even realising they've been psychologically trained. A job has been done on them. Bravo Susan Michie, SAGE, and the Behaviour Change nudge Unit. Mindtricks for the weak-minded. What would you have done last weekend that you couldn't under the current guidelines just out of interest? Watched some live music.

No but the majority of pubs are struggling to break even, live entertainment and nightclub sector is down the shit-pan, travel industry is teetering on the edge of extinction, Millions of jobs are still at risk with no extra support even with the delay. Furlough scales back from July 1st and that extra 10% of wage contribution will likely see more redundancies as these companies simply do not have the cashflow or reserves anymore. Which then is a massive knock on to society, strain on the NHS through mental health resource, MORE strain on the public purse due to people on UC etc. A lot of freedoms have been granted back (and rightfully so, don't be thanking the government for giving you back what is rightfully yours!). I'll be fucked if having to, sign in, sit at a maximum table of 6, mask on to go for a shit, unable to go abroad without having to isolate myself from the world for 10 days (even though I have been double vaccinated) etc etc... is any form of normality or liberal society. It is still very totalitarian that cannot be denied, the arguments for and against the delay is where the issue sits, however we are here now, July 19th must be the end. Unfortunately there are far too many "I'm alright Jack's" that are perfectly happy with the current rules because it doesn't affect them and they can go about their business quite happily, sadly those same people would be happy to see restrictions continue. But they give no regard to the ones as you say who still don't know if they have their livelihoods or not. I'm going to a funeral in a few days and we can't sing, can only sit in pre designated seats, no hugging, no flowers other than what's pre arranged, capacity limit on the whole thing and there is a different limit on the church and the Crematorium so difficult decisions made on attendees. But we are back to normal aren't we? I'm off to a wedding next week, I've been told depending on numbers that turn up on the day some of us will have to sit in a room next door and watch the ceremony on a TV. Ridiculous.

If the government hadn't fucked up and put India on the red list 3 weeks earlier we wouldn't be, direct your anger towards them...... You’re making the mistake of believing everything you hear in the media mate I'm doing nothing of the sort, if the numbers hadn't been allowed to rise from India there would be no counter argument and the 21st June would have been the day to get everything open again. I'm firmly in the camp that believes we could start relaxing some of the measures now, but that decision by the government is absolutely the reason for the delay........

Yep, live music and live sport are the two things that I can't wait to go and see again, but in terms of socialising, meeting friends and family etc we're light years ahead of this time last year. To say we're restricted is factually correct, to say we're completely restrained from doing anything that's fun is nonsense.......

Lockdowns have decimated the poorest. Not just in this country, but around the world. And when the hyper-inflation hits, they'll wipe out the middle classes. The 'all right Jacks' are next in the firing line. Those thinking they are immune from Hyper-inflation, haven't got a clue what's going to hit. If you think your work and job is fine, just wait. The only thing that will matter is food. I told people a year ago to stock up and prep. Anyway , it's Amazon Prime Day, let's help those guys out.

I bet you couldn’t enjoy a second of it though with you being stripped of all your civil liberties having to follow such draconian measures...... Good job nobody wants to go abroad on holiday then. Or have a wedding that you can engage in that highly risky behaviour, dancing…

Good job nobody wants to go abroad on holiday then. i'd love to go abroad, I booked a holiday to Pembrokeshire instead and can't wait to go. In the grand scheme of things sacrificing a holiday abroad until the Autumn of 2021 or 2022 is not the end of the world........ In general I’d agree with that, but it’s the continually moving goal posts that should concern people.

What would you have done last weekend that you couldn't under the current guidelines just out of interest? Gone to a club, gone away on holiday knowing I wouldn't have to isolate and lose money when I got back, gone to a wedding with more than thirty people and enjoyed a dance, traveled on public transport without being muzzled, walk around a pub or restaurant without being muzzled, met up with more than six people, go to the theatre and cinema without being muzzled, go to a gig, go to a sporting event with a full crowd and enjoyed some atmosphere, not stopped from going into a shop because there's already 4 people in there (happened to me twice last week), not having to squirt chemicals on my hands every 5 minutes, not having to give out personal details to all and sundry just so I can enjoy a drink or a meal. If I've missed anything out I do apologise

It's the same daft regulations everywhere I went to a wedding last September and only 10 were allowed into the ceremony the rest had to stand outside. That was Germany we then went to the reception and drunk and danced the night away with no social distancing no masks and as far as I know nobody of the 100 or so people who attended caught the virus. All that in the "height" of the wave pre vaccine and no testing 🤷♂️

Back from a weeks holiday in Norfolk, did anything we wanted, ate out just about every lunch and evening, pubs in the sunshine, watching the footy inside, train to Norwich 1 day, steam train ride, etc etc you wouldn't know there was restrictions anywhere apart from wearing a mask to your seat. You never seem to consider the million plus jobs gone, the small businesses and independent livelihoods gone, the 300,000 extra hospitality jobs threatened by this extra four week lockup, the medical care gone, the 10 million plus waiting for treatment. The hyper-inflation waiting to reduce life to misery. It's great that you didn't notice this from your steam train, and at least it's Amazon prime day, so who cares? Lockdowns never existed for any illness in history, even far worse, until last year when they were introduced by the Chinese Communist Party, and then immediately adopted by every country, with no analysis or logic. And people doubt it's a globalist centrally orchestrated plan... Susan Michie - Behaviour Change Wheel writer, Communist social engineer, and psychological warfare operator. 'Not only for Covid', she says. These words should raise alarm bells for everyone. Because these are the people controlling the UK. Because being trained into lockdowns was the intention. Lockdowns and Digital IDs were the aim. The pandemic story is the hoax. These will continue until all independent businesses and livelihoods are gone, and we are left only with globalist State corporations. Including those small businesses you used on your trip. You are a joy aren't you 😆 Me spending in every independent cafe and restaurant, no chains, it helps them doesn't it? I never use Amazon, don't have an account or watch their TV

Shift that shit out of your garage and fill it. Those home improvements and the crap people are buying are going to be worth jack shit when you can't eat. I'm serious. If folk are not prepping, they are not paying attention. Globalists have already engineered supply chain and cyberattack issues. And as for all of the fake money they've been throwing into the economy, it's only going one way.

My running friend told me last night, his 30 year old cousin, a teacher in Runcorn who had his first pfizer jab 5 weeks ago and no underlying issues, is in hospital with cv19, was in a bad way but responding to treatment, probably a rare case. It does seem schools are the cause of this new lot of cases, hopefully fade away when the holidays start in a few weeks Unless the vaccine caused it How ?

I'd have gone to see my elderly relative who's in hospital, alone and confused, but isn't allowed any visitors. I've another in a care home, not been able to see him for months now, condition slowly getting worse due to being deprived of vital contact with family. Those who claim there is 'no lockdown' don't have relatives in these situations.

Hallucinations, fever, aches, palpitations, the lot. Same age as your eldest and my friends who have had it have been the same but Pfizer seem okay. I’d say Pfizer is the only one worth it’s salt.

I look at various sources....... Media sources? 😂 there are many types of media away from the mainstream. I don't even need to look at media sources to know cases have risen, I've seen it in my own workplace where many staff are still doing weekly lateral flow tests, and my kids schools where they're doing the same. The number of cases in both have risen considerably over the last few weeks (from pretty much zero it has to be said), and the amount of people having to isolate has too. Whatever your opinion on the new variants and whether we should or shouldn't have extended the deadline in may areas of the North West that is just factual........
