No mention of "Offies" then. That comes under places of worship or youth centres I expect... Bastards!

I've just listened to it and that's the message I heard. Do you think he should try saying it in a Potteries accent? Do you think he needs to get Pottermouth involved? Stay at home, do eet for the Meir tunnel Stay at home, do eet for Slash Stay at home, do eet for the fucking NHS you morons He didn't say that and the official government tweet doesn't say that either, it did an hour ago but it doesn't now, it's been changed. Do you think he wants you to goto work or stay at home ?

Yes and then contradicted it with the work stuff. It was a fucking shambles. I don’t think he contradicted anything. There was one message - stay at home. There are massive contradictions March. Government tweet an hour ago: The only reason you may leave your home is to go to work (if you're a key worker) Government tweet now: The only reason you may leave your home is to go to work (but work from home if possible) They are ENTIRELY different instructions.

Ashley has just classed his stores as essential work. Is that for real? Yep, that was an email sent to staff I believe.

You'd probably lose if you went to court. Ashley is following government instructions - he's not actually doing anything wrong in the eyes of the law. He could argue he's a supplier of sports equipment which is essential to the health and well being of the nation Sports have been banned haven’t they? Essentially anyway.

Yes and then contradicted it with the work stuff. It was a fucking shambles. He never said it except for when he said it then glad we cleared that up. Its only a shambles if people arent able to think about it for themselves, stay at home too cryptic hey. Bollocks. You obviously live a straightforward life. The normal joe doesn't know what to do regards work.

He literally said to travel to work if it’s essential and you can’t work from home. For millions of people putting tea on the table is essential. It’s ambiguous bullshit.

Sky news just used the word essential again. Yes just saw that, what Sky are telling people, is completely at odds with the official government advice. Tomorrow morning: Boss phones employee: "Why haven't you showed up for work?" Employee: "They said on Sky news last night, that I shouldn't come in." Boss: "That's not what it says on the Government website."

I think I might like to get a dog. I've always wanted one. Handy little things are dogs (at times like these). I'll be out tomorrow selling my 'Dogs are for life, not just for quarantine' car stickers. I should't really be out of the house but the PM is too blasé to make a decision so I'll just lie about it being "essential" and keep spreading the virus.

The official advice is travel to work if you cannot work at home, the word essential does not exist in the official documentation. So everyone who can’t work at home according to official advice still has to go in if they aren’t on shutdown. It’s in black and white.
Contrary to the key worker exception mentioned in the now deleted tweet.
The very fact they had to delete a tweet is an indication the information was incorrect or unclear. These are unprecedented times and modelling is never perfect so I have sympathies with that side but this is a simple comms fuck up. Simple as that.

Not really unless your going to work saves someones life or helps someone else saves someones life you should stay at home and your work should be making this decision for you tomorrow.

No intention of closing down building sites. If you’re on one and your employer wants you in, you’re going in. Completely at odds with the deleted tweet. Conflicting bollocks.

We now know the NHS must be properly funded.
We now know the value of those previously dismissed as “unskilled”.
We now know you can speed up the benefits system and pay more.
We now know you can get the homeless off the streets.
Let’s never go back.

Oh absolutely mate, I'm not blaming Sky one iota, this confusion lays firmly at the door of the Government. This is absolutely fundamental stuff, concerning the safety of the entire nation and I am deeply concerned that the people who are supposed to be protecting us, are completely at sea.
