Can not believe that people are debating whether Bet 365 can function or not.
I know they are a major employer in the area, but THEY ARE NOT AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE. The Govt have gtd employers to pay 80% of income to ensure people are not paid off and become redundant.
STAY AT HOME and save lives, or there will be EMPTY SEATS AT THE LUNCH TABLE NEXT CHRISTMAS.

I controlled a switchboard that probably gets around 3/400 calls today from my living room. Not the same scale I know but it worked š The amount of time you spend on here Bayern, Iād say ācontrolled a switchboard...ā, is a massive misnomer š¤£ Bayern manning the switchboard.. *Ring Ring* - phone call 206 of 400 "Hello, Bayern speaking..."

So that confirms my initial questions. The only people to travel to work are key workers. He didn't really say that in his address though, and left it wide open. That was what I understood from his message. He never mentioned key workers though March. He literally mentioned essential travel and if you canāt work from home.

There is only one government to blame for this pandemic, they covered up lied about it's existence and allowed their infected citizens to freely spread it all over the World, they alone have brought the World and it's economy to it's knees, action should be taken against them now not in the future. That's also a matter of opinion. Its very difficult to present conclusive evidence to know where and how this virus originated. Many theories on this, including your own. Really Ok

Top news today in Sweden:
"Curfew in Great Britain."
In Sweden:
Business as usual. No restrictions whatsoever. And the people in Switzerland and China hate us.
Only debating here about how many losing their jobs. Ikea closing, Volvo sack 5000 consultants etc. Prediction is unemployment around 20-30% in 3 months. Now we have 6.6%.

Sky News reporter reading from a Government issued directive - companies themselves to decide whether or not their own business is "essential". The lack of authority is frightening. Please fucking tell me this isn't true?

There is an urgent need for clarity, because the British public has demonstrated it is completely unable and unwilling to understand āguidanceā. By not making it explicitly clear who can commute and who canāt l guarantee thousands will make an attempt to go to work tomorrow or be unsure if they can etc.
Treat most of the public by how they have behaved. Like children and be explicit in what you are saying. Basic communication strategy.

The Govt have gtd employers to pay 80% of income to ensure people are not paid off and become redundant. STAY AT HOME and save lives, or there will be EMPTY SEATS AT THE LUNCH TABLE NEXT CHRISTMAS. Of course it shouldn't be open. The issue is the Government are not making clear directives and are instead leaving it unto employers who rightly or wrongly don't want to lose out on income. In turn, employees are left in limbo as to whether or not they should go to work and what happens if they don't. The Government are in a very hard situation but the leadership is not good enough or clear enough. The can't specifically name every company and whether or not they should close but if they mean key workers and key workers only and exhaustive list needs to be published, it needs to be enforced and the welfare packages need to be distributed to people unable to work and in need of financial income.

You can guarantee that there will be people not turning in tomorrow and getting a bollocking, because their company wants them to work.
Shut the fucking lot down, outside of health, supermarkets etc and the logistics that are required for them to operate.

The interview with Ken Marsh, the chairman of the Metropolitan Police Federation on Sky News just now was pretty scary stuff. He clearly knows they don't have the capacity to cope.
Marsh has added that heās already seeing ālarge amounts of sicknessā among officers across London. He has told Sky News: We havenāt seen one of the 24,000 officers that we lost across the country. So it will be very, very challenging and very difficult for us with whatās put in front of us. But we donāt actually know what is being put in front of us yet other than weāre going to be asked to disperse crowds, itās going to be a real, real challenge. But he warned: āWe will be dealing with it, but Iām not sure we will have the resources to be able to see it through.ā

I knew what was going on after Boris's speech - only travel to work if you can't work from home and don't knock about with your mates down the park.
Everyone who couldn't work from home was due in work tomorrow - essential & none essential, key worker or not a key worker.
That was Boris's speech, wasn't it?
This stuff has now completely thrown me.

Not defending it but thinking about it, itās a difficult one, the Italian government didnāt define āindispensable industriesā either.
It might have been better to start with a list of services/industries that should definitely shut, that or say only supermarkets and pharmacies but who produces the food, the medicines, the logistics for them, the back office support for them.
Itās a bit of an conundrum

How can you ban social gatherings of more than 2 people yet stand and watch hundreds of people standing in each other's pockets outside Tesco's? He told us to use deliveries. Yeah, good one. I can't get one for more than three weeks! Morrisonās guaranteeing next day delivery of essentials if you order before 3pm but you only get a choice of meat vs vegetarian. This will be the norm by the end of the week. Can you point us in the right direction March? Just signed up to Morrisons, punched in my address, clicked delivery slot and the website said none available. BTW, this isn't for me, but is for two separate old and vulnerable people. Cheers.
