Why wouldn’t you believe it to be correct if you’re saying it? If I don’t think something is correct I don’t say it. Could it be that your truth is possibly different from someone else's truth or is your opinion on this matter THE truth? No, what I say I believe to be right, I don't get why that's so hard to understand? Other people will disagree and that's cool but unless you put up a good argument then I'm not going to change my mind. What has happened with Coronvirus is like our relegation, we've sleepwalked into the precipous when it was obvious what was going to happen and what measures needed to be taken. Unlike our board, the govt have actually admitted with their complete policy change.

As a team effort Matt Hancock seems to be doing ok....in the circumstances....doesn't he? The most challenging crisis since the second world war....goes without saying. Apart from the chronic lack of PPE and ventilators he's doing smashing yeah.

Anyone using the coronavirus as a political weapon because “their” party were humiliated in the last election is a ......... massive weapon. What the fuck is it it with Tories and scrutiny. This is Politics writ large and the clown in charge hasn't got a fucking clue. The CMO and CSO are in charge and their advice is being followed, Corbyn despite his son being in self isolation and he himself being in the high risk group wont follow the advice, everyone can see who the clown is.

410 dead today in Spain. I fear they will accelerate past Italy in the next 2 weeks. and probably shortly followed by the UK that's been slower than most to implement a lockdown. Just seen some footage of the London underground and it's still packed. You've got to assume that infections are rife and that it's a matter of days/weeks before symptoms and fatalities come thick and fast.

Apart from the chronic lack of PPE and ventilators he's doing smashing yeah. Do you think that he is trying to get them? Or not. Perhaps every country in the world is after them. He's said that there is a shortage and he's trying to get them. Presumably not every country is going to get all they want and need at the drop of a hat. Are you sure that if anyone else was trying to do his job it would be any better? Perhaps. Perhaps not. It's a global crisis. Perhaps we should have got in first, before Italy...although I don't know the supply chains. Best thing we can do is to take the advice as given What you hear publicised isn't necessarily the full story.

But hey, it's not political.

We've had months to prepare for this and tbh I'd like think (naively) that we'd have plenty of this stuff in supply anyway. It's another systematic failure due to years of underfunding. Of course it's a global crisis but the government have reacted awfully to it. It being a global crisis doesn't give them an excuse.

It was only a matter of time before the liberal left wankers jumped on this. Fucking tossers the lot of them. That’s helpful then. This is the most serious situation any of us have ever faced that will only be solved by cooperation, selflessness and taking the politics out of this crisis. I think we all know who the wanker is now on this thread! Using the virus for their own agenda, so yeah taking politics out of it is helpful. Which those lot don't seem to be doing.

I've not seen the list but I'd imagine it's referring Rheumatoid Arthritis, which is an autoimmune disorder, rather than Osteoarthritis which is the wear and tear kind many of us have. Just to clarify. I’ve not seen it on a list, it was mentioned by a newsreader when they were reading out the UHC’s of someone who had died. That's so frustrating. I wish they would either say exactly what they mean or just not say anything all. Stay safe and healthy mate!

This isn’t a political crisis it’s a global crisis. A few days ago it was follow Germany, now they are escalating a week ago it was follow Korea now they are having a second wave. There is no definable solution to this we are dealing with a virus that has no consciousness no political affiliation and doesn’t care if you followed all the rules laid out by your countries health authorities or the WHO. If this little fucker gets a hold of anyone, young, old, fit, infirm, it doesn’t care. The best thing to do is to take your best precautions don’t be selfish and if possible assist others. Turn into work until told otherwise if you feel your job may be having a positive effect no matter how big or small, it may make the difference for somebody between life and death. If you fix cars it might be an emergency workers or a carers, if your a plumber or a spark you might be the difference between somebody having no hot water or electricity. Your company may make parts indirectly for ventilators or hospitals beds. Don’t socialise needlessly and look after yourselves and family. When all this is over I want to look to my left and right in the boothen and and hopefully see the same faces, then after the match log on here and argue the finer points between Smith and Edwards etc. Hear bloody hear.

I'd agree with the years of underfunding, but that needs to be looked at after this whole thing is over...if it ever is. Even if we had much greater funding, realistically I don't think that up to date protective clothing would have been stockpiled in their 100s of thousands. I do think that we need to value the NHS though and not to abuse it.

Little fuckers as tall as me now so mouths off like a big man unfortunately I weigh 40kg more than him and it’s not all fat lol so he backs down pretty quick.

These posts are totally unhelpful imho. Identifying specific groups (i.e liberal left etc) and throwing insults in a post is bound to get a reaction, as you are very well aware. You are politically identifying a group negatively according to your own political persuasions, what is the point of that precisely apart from political posturing (if that isn't an agenda I don't know what is!). Explain how that is in any way constructive in this situation? Posting articles that are critical of strategy have some merit, because critical analysis is important as it always is in society, but throwing around insults and trying to provoke others without presenting any meaningful argument or analysis is surely not.

Anyone using the coronavirus as a political weapon because “their” party were humiliated in the last election is a ......... massive weapon. I’m not doing that, couldn’t care less. Him, Cumming and Hancock haven’t been strong enough and have been carried by Chris Whitty and Shanuk. You’re allowed to have an opinion on how your government is running things. And whilst I agree with the sentiment of the post above about knowing which advice is being ignored, it doesn’t deter from the fact that human beings as a collective have always been thick and selfish, and always will be.

I just don't get it Daft. We had a drive to Niagara Falls on Sunday as it was a beautiful day and we're very lucky that it's just up the road. We stayed in the car but it was such a strange sight. Very quiet, even for March and although people were out of foot everyone was keeping a good distance apart. Seeing the main tourist street (Clifton Hill) completely dead was like something out of a movie, and seeing absolutely no one at the border crossing was pretty surreal as well. I don't know what's going on back home, but it's like everyone has gone nuts.

I’m close to battering my children Day fucking one Seriously, folks will lose the will to live. The psychology of public lock down is fascinating. People have an acute awareness of the level of danger they are in. So younger people will tear down a black ski run without hesitation, they know they are fit and their bones are strong. What makes this different is their actions may impact directly on others but that isn't hard wired in to your psyche in the same way. Guess what I am saying is I can see the young and fit starting to throw the towel in on this after a few short weeks. And anyone else really who is in a bad place who feels they have little to lose. We all need to hang tough but will we?
