I would encourage everybody to follow the Government advice and exercise social distancing and self isolation. FOR THE GREATER GOOD.

Up 48 so not quite tracking Italy now 14 days ago Italy went up and down a bit. It won't become clear if UK is headed for same path until around Wednesday.

The whole story is one of a calamitous fuck up. Cummings is a callous shit bag of a man and Johnson an incompetent fool. What are the chances this story confirms exactly what you thought anyway, I read the story the scientists say do this they do this, the scientists said we need to change and do this and thats what they have done. But yeah crack on anyway. I think he's been on crack a long time now

11 more deaths to 244. Too early to say we've buck the trend but take any positives. Sorry if this has been posted but can't be arsed trawling through the last few pages of posters dry humping each other. You should still read the thread and posts every day. There's some good stuff on here.

Significant drop in number of new cases too.

Interesting to see the presser from Edinburgh earlier. Their Chief Medical Officer said that the UK Government bringing forward measures earlier than originally predicted was because the initial information from China re: speed of spread, No. of cases and number of deaths was found not to be the same as other, shall we say 'more reliable' countries like Italy. Never trust a communist

No that’s how hard immunity works. You don’t need to be a doctor to be able to read how something works. They fucked it. Who fucked it? Do keep up we're bashing the Tories

Eh? How do you reckon that then when things are changing so rapidly on a daily basis? Because social distancing was the obvious thing to do from weeks ago like we were saying. Their plan has failed miserably. Ah got you.... Over here, the police are stopping giving out on the spot fines for minor transport crimes ( riding with out lights, speeding etc.) after some dirty Turks decided to spit in a policeman’s face....just on the news now over here.

Do keep up we're bashing the Tories Can’t believe the experts on the oatcake haven’t been drafted in to write policy given how much they know about what we should be doing. I think hindsight is a new idea for some...

Not if it’s British nationals travelling on them Every country should have agreed to look after each other’s citizens on a fixed date a week ago and no one should have moved from that point forward. That's ok unless your healthy and stuck in Iran waiting to get ill with probably little chance of getting decent health care..... or stuck on a plague ship in some Japanese port. We have a responsibility to our citizens who work abroad.

Funny isn't it the "jovial idiot" being flanked by the senior scientific and medical advisors who do a fair amount of the talking at the press conferences and presumably provide the advice behind the scenes but what do they know.

I don’t get why anyone would trust them tbh especially when Cummings is around calling the shots. We needed to do what we’re doing now 10 days ago. It was absolutely obvious.

Update on Italy: 651 dead today. Not sure yet if that's a sign of peak or if it will rise again. Number in intensive care crept up again in most places. Trying not to get my hopes up after being gutted over the past couple of days. I sadly think you're right about the UK too mate, numbers bobble up and down a bit and then boom 1-2 weeks later. The US deaths dropped for 2 days in a row, from 57 to 46. Now it's 94 so far today and not even lunch time on the west coast.
