It’s a consequence of applying normal political rules in an normal times. Meaning, the opposition adopt a position they see as scoring most points of the Government. So, an attack along the lines of not being hard enough on lockdown makes perfect sense. There was a possibility of a different approach, which Starmer took for about 48 hours last Autumn when he started to challenge the Government on providing the evidence to support the actions they were taking. But he abandoned that quite promptly in favour of trying to score political points. So, what we have are Governments across the UK making massive decisions without having to provide justification and opposition complaining that everything is too little, too late. The consequence is we are being failed by our politicians of all colours. It's beyond words isn't it. Starmer's position is cringe worthy - "Let's encourage Boris to go even more totalitarian on already totalitarian measures, while racking up even more debt with even more hand outs". Yeah because that's gonna win over small business owners and the most vulnerable in society. The government policy is to tell businesses who trade with the EU to relocate there because the new “frictionless” and “tariff free” trade deal is too complicated and expensive for them to keep exporting from here. Starmer should demand more evidence. No doubt about it. But he calls for something and the government do as he said a week or a few days later. So if he is bad, he is still ahead of the government, yet the government have access to all the evidence and data and labour do not.

Why what will happen? Is that a threat 😂 Nope. I'll leave the DMs of offers to meet for fights by Sir Stans statue and promises to track people down and find them to others on here 😂😂

And here's the usual other approach - when your own preferred government is shown to be incompetent, be sure to bring in either an imaginary government of the other type doing just as badly (or more likely worse!) or hint that it's really the Opposition's fault for being complicit or just not a very good Opposition (despite being delighted with an 80 seat majority just 12 months ago) A vote between a set of posh cunts and a set of posh cunts, that all went to school together, is a dictatorship. Remind me, which members of the labour front bench went to Eton or the equivalent?

This is worth a read... Why Imperial College’s REACT study is so problematicIt is perfectly ok for experts to disagree, but they have an obligation to present their findings honestly. Imperial College would appear to have not done this, as that article demonstrates. This is really important for people to get their heads round. The Government are basing their decision making on data presented to them by Imperial and this data in itself, is based on BAD science.

This is extremely serious stuff, how can we trust the other stuff coming out of Imperial when this data is flawed in such a fundamental way? Riley should have his resignation written already.

We should be receiving more good news in the next couple of weeks when the results of the Novavax vaccine trials are known. There's currently 15,000 people in phase 3 trials in the UK and over 25% of them are over 65 and a lot clinically vulnerable. And more good news is that it's manufactured in Stockton on Tees primarily for UK use and we've got an order in for 60 million doses. Is this a one jabber or two If it’s two what’s the recommended time lag ?

And about two weeks after being approved and rolled out there will be more recycled reasons to lock us down

Vernon Coleman is a well known anti-vaccer and also a bit of a tit. He used to write scaremongering nonsense for one of the shitty tabloids years ago I remember.

Seen a few news reports that Gavin Williamson is due to announce pushing back school reopening until after Easter at the earliest.
That's the middle of April for most.

A vote between a set of posh cunts and a set of posh cunts, that all went to school together, is a dictatorship. Starmer is the son of a nurse and a toolmaker (there's an opportunity...!) who passed his 11+ and went to a grammar school, then Leeds University. Sounds pretty normal to me, and not quite in the silver-spoon privileged upbringing you're envisaging, or is it a case of he's a politician so by default you think that's the case? Sir Keir Starmer went to grammar school did he. Man of the people then. Such a man of the people he went ahead with the title bestowed on him anyway as "Sir2 has that ring of blue collar hardship about it. Where does he live...erm, Islington. Quelle surprise. Emily Thornberry is another solid working class gal...hates the rich, but hates the working class even more because of their unpalatable patriotism.

Doesn’t seem that many to be fair 1 death is bad enough. Yes, but there are lots of “may” have died from in there. Also if people question whether some of the Covid deaths were caused by something else that’s also possible here. If the vaccine works in the main despite there being some deaths then that should be an acceptable risk. My concern is what happens if the vaccine doesn’t work, what happens then?
