Things must be bad if you're resorting to sensationalist links from the daily Mail. Give it a rest. It's in pretty much every mainstream paper. The paper is irrelevant when you can listen to it with your own ears? You must have clocked the awkward moment yourself? Sort of depressing, but yeah some grey guy at FHM (not Tegnell) said this Monday we pretty much have to live like this for a few years - with a vaccine or not - since the virus is "a part" of the society now. The next step would be if someone somewhere on the Globe sends signals to affect and control the apparently floating corona virus particles to act in a desired way, giving Commandos. 🤮

Without going over every line of this shit (your Wikipedia references aren't great for your already woeful credibility ratings with the oatcake faithful 😉) and giving us as you always do, dumb advice on how us "neanderlithic" peasants should live, I'm keen to ask you something. Are you saying you don't see the government as elites? You seem confused over the definition of elite. Modern elitism is about power, attitude, education and influence and not solely someone's salary. By default, elites tend to earn well but extreme wealth is not the sole definition - sometimes it is but not always. You must have heard of the expression "Islington Elite"? That's not because they all earn over 500k a year. Im also in agreement that the woke elite is a minority. I've been telling you that for months!! I think we are seeing some amazing changes in our social make up which in part, Brexit contributed to. Just look at the pro lockdown vs anti lockdown sentiment. Right and left and rich and poor are intertwined like never before and its great to see. Who would have thought middle England and the North East had so much in common. Meanwhile big corporates, big pharma, lamestream media and almost the entirety of the celeb world have made a sizeable shift to the new Liberal (but not so Liberal) left. Its fascinating and bizarre times. P.s I absolutely don't profess to stand for the working class but thanks again for that compliment. In what world is the woke Islington Elite an elite in the sense of having actual power and authority? It's a Daily Mail construct designed to provide a derogatory term to dismiss a left wing clique in North London. In Corbyn they had a hero who could have given them some actual power. For some very good reasons it didn't happen. The Islington Elite have never been an elite and never will be. The real elite are those with actual power and authority with no democratic mandate. It's the landed gentry, inherited wealth and the power and privilege granted through money you have not earned that gets you into the public school system - the old school tie and the top jobs at the end of the Oxbridge conveyor belt denied to everyone not in that privileged position. The real tragedy of British politics is that its totally stitched up by this elite. Johnson went to the same school as Cameron (and surprise surprise it wasn't Longton High School - if it had there would have been a public enquiry). Your hero Farage is a public school boy - and the last time I looked 'Stockbroker' isn't a breadline occupation. Starmer went to a somewhat less elitist Grammar School - yet bizarrely you probably write him off as being elite because his politics are on the left and he holds socially progressive views. And as to my credibility with the Oatcake Faithful - really? At some point I've probably pissed off everyone on this site. If I've genuinely hurt anyone by misinterpreting their views I've apologised. But all I've done is post what I think - if it's affected my credibility with the Oatcake Faithful I genuinely do not give a fuck and I have every intention of carrying on pissing people off by posting what I actually think rather than what I think they might like. Credibility with the Oatcake Faithful is your problem not mine. Fair enough, I don't agree with much of that inevitably but just wanted to point out I was only messing re credibility with the faithful. I don't think any of us on here have credibility with the oatcake faithful do we, after all we are the oatcake faithful 🤣🤓 Musik comes across as the only credible chap as a member of the Swedish oatcake faithful but apart from him... 😉 P.s for what it's worth I think Boris and Starmer have an awful lot in common. Part of the problem. You are totally right to not give a fuck what people think. Society would do a lot worse than apply that in everyday life, cancel culture and censorship makes the world horribly sterile and I am really concerned (as Rowen Atkinson pointed out the other week) that culturally we are falling headlong into a seriously sterile western world. Anyway, we digress from covid bollocks 😊

I agree with you regarding the censorship and the closing down of debate so as not to avoid offence at all costs - it's as bad as alt right conspiracy theory bollocks for shutting down thought. The big problem with your view of the political landscape is that you've reduced it to a binary woke-left-elite/anti-woke-right-non-elite team game when in reality it's far more convoluted than that. In terms of the covid bollocks - bring on that vaccine I say. The sequel worries me. How long before another strain of bad flu appears. It’s been a great training run How many times do you need to be told that flu and coronavirus are totally different. Both influenza and coronaviruses have a single strand of RNA as their genome, but that is where the genomic similarity ends. The influenza virus genome comprises 7 or 8 segments, while the coronavirus has one long strand. Influenza virus RNA is what is known as ‘negative sense RNA’. This means that its sequence is the mirror image of the correct code for proteins and a complementary strand must be made from it before production of new viruses within a host cell can proceed. In contrast, the coronavirus genome is ‘positive sense’ which means it can act as messenger RNA and code for proteins. So from a virological point of view, coronavirus is definitely not a type of flu. Because social media tells them it is. And as we all know people such as Denise Welch and Laurence Fox are much more credible in medical matters than scientists and health experts.

In a petri dish I would imagine Yeah - but the bit I'm interested in is that if you're starting from ground zero do you aim for the full arab stallion from day 1 - or do you go for something more -ahem - "manageable" to give you a chance to get used to it with an option to extend at a later date if required?

Another 0.1% added lol! I wonder if your invented figure will reach 100.1% before or after Christmas. You never know as they increase the tests of healthy people with bogus positives. As they have been counting 'positive' cases more than once. So over 100% is possible. If you continue to keep inventing numbers, then yes it is. Why stop there, lets crack on towards 200%.

So basically rather than have a parliament that tries to represent and resolves the range of opinions of the people of this country you would rather a sham of a democracy that ensures a particular minority party retains permanent and exclusive access to the reins of power ie a one party state in anything but name? Might that be because you happen to be part of that particular minority by any chance?

Its designed to eliminate any form of constructive representation or constructive discussion on any subject.

The system is designed to elect the same profile of person. There's nobody in the Cabinet or probably the Opposition who has ever needed a proper job, a job where they have to think about paying household bills or feeding their kids. They are just there to make sure that doesn't change that is all. They wont consider PR, not because it may destabilise Government but because it has the potential to loosen their grip on these privileged positions of power. This is a country of Deference, always has been.

Italy have reported 993 deaths on worldofmeters, more than a daily total in the first wave. Poland never really got going in the first wave, most they reported was 40 in one day, over 600 in a couple of days of reporting this week, not sure on what restrictions they have in place now. Even germany posted almost 500 deaths in a day this week with 497, 1st wave most in a day was 333. Some countries are having a bigger wave now than they did originally.
