I've lost track of it all recently. To recap, when can we expect the 4,000 deaths per day? Does that start tomorrow? Its all a crock of shit. How many unemployed as a result of lockdowns? 200k+, and still rising. How many businesses are collapsing, or have completely folded? How many families struggling to pay bills and put food on the table? How many people out there with mental health shot to pieces? Suicides going through the roof. Cancer deaths rising because treatments being delayed and early diagnosis being missed. Deaths from other diseases going up as everyone seems to think we should just be focusing on covid, and to hell with everything else. Where do you draw the line? We don't need yet more draconian measures. You can't bury your head in the sand and clamour for eternal, zero tolerance lockdowns and ignore all the other chronic repercussions that causes in all other areas of life. We need to move forward with a logical balance, that allows the economy to at least survive (ideally thrive) and give people a chance to get on with their lives, whilst minimising the spread with appropriate measures. 165,000 people die of cancer every year in the U.K, many of them children and people under 50. The Government and charities spend £750M a year on research. The test and trace programme so far has cost £12 billion. How many lives has it saved, bearing in mind that the average age of Covid deaths is higher than the average life expectancy in this country. That's an excellent point, Dave. Staggering and equally depressing.

Just seen this from an Aussie airline.
We will ask people to have a vaccination before they get on the aircraft. Certainly, for international visitors coming out and people leaving the country we think that's a necessity," Joyce said.
He said proof of Covid-19 vaccinations may become a “common theme” across the industry.
“What we’re looking at is how you can have a vaccination passport, an electronic version of it that certifies what the vaccine is and whether it’s acceptable to the country you’re traveling to,” he said

What a nonsense another golden opportunity to really drive the virus down squandered , 60 days to a serious number of vaccines and strong leadership and clear guidance what was desperately needed , instead more weak and confusing nonsense allowing ambiguity to be exploited . Obvious blueprint was 1 Tier 3 lockdown rules everywhere until January 31st 2 Furlough extended as is 3 interest free 5 year government loans for all effected business 4 Re-open 1st February 5 No household mixing at Xmas 6 Vaccine refusal for non medical prevents flying and entry to events , great to see Quantas take the lead today Country comes out with minimum achievable loss of life and punching in February Instead we set up a system destined to produce a daft Christmas compromise and the equivalent of crashing full jumbo jets into the ground every day in January in and February . You ignored my post yesterday about your Uni students. Intrigued to know if they came home half way through term thus ignoring the rules? Bayern apologies I didn’t ignore it , one left as he can commute the other because the university offered them to go home pre lockdown as they can run remote lectures Leeds and Nottingham respectively family kids not mine I hasten to add , ones had it the other hasn’t .

It looks that way Momo but having watched Hancock praise Brereton/and all things Stoke this afternoon I still think there’s a chance of Tier 2🤔 Still no good to me. Most pubs I drink in idea of a 'substantial' meal is a Marlboro Light! Go chippy on trentham Road then go in Gardeners seen it done before in there

Fair dos! The commuting ones it’s hard but it’s from the DofE that ideally if they’re living in another city they stay until the first week in December and then have a test before going home.

Is Thursday the day of the draw for the Tiers?
James Cleverly will draw the balls for the Region (he's the only black bloke we've got) and Carrie Symonds (thats my present squeeze) the Tier number.
'Number 27' (that's Stoke on Trent) will be in 'Tier 3'

In fairness by not suffering fools gladly in Australia they have got on top of the virus and they have their lives back, 50,000 people in a sports stadium once again being part of their lives. They won't want to cede this hard earned ground.

All for something developed in months that usually takes years... From what was said in the press conference earlier being vaccinated doesn't mean that you can't transmit the virus and as such can't be used as a passport. As for the length of time spent developing the virus, from my understanding the research into SARS and MERS gave them the springboard on COVID and that the vast increase in funding plus the parallel research/peer reviewing of the data has expedited the process. Necessity has of course always been the mother of innovation. I really don't see having a vaccine passport to get on a bus being a serious reality to be honest.

Up to 4000 fans to be allowed into stadiums Dependant on tier levels ST holders in a ballot ???? With the amount of games remaining I see only one fair option. Total games left as a fraction of those who wish to apply. Example: So say 20 games with 10k season tickets would be 4000 x 20 ÷ 10,000=8 games per person ST holder

Could end up a postcode lottery when people's areas are flip flopping in n out of tiers.

It doesn't take the tiresome label of conspiracy theorist (yawn) to see the total destruction for those small and independent businesses. Just walk down the high street and open your fucking eyes. I wonder if we would have had the endless lockdowns if all these corporations were included, and the UK equivalents? And these monsters are going to clean up again at Christmas, whilst independent business is deprived once again of a chance to claw something back. And the 'alcohol with food only' is a direct assault on proper boozers, which are the fabric of this country, and which authority hate. You tell me what that has got to do with a fucking virus? Like virtually every other gaslighting lockdown, crock of shit rule. What absolute bullshit. And leftists seem to be the ones lapping it up the most.
