It’s a good option tbh but I just don’t think he’s that good of a striker. I’d be more inclined with those three as a front three to have Sterling centrally and them doing lots of switching. Ooooh the fabled, false No.9 To be honest as good a season as some of the other options are having, I don't think any of them are good enough to start up front for us in a tournament so that's the three I'd go with. I really like the thought of Ings there tbh. I think he’s a much better all round striker than Rashford.

I think Kane will be ready. But it's worth considering who the other forwards will be. IMHO we should take five instead of the usual four. To cover the front 3 is this Joe? Let’s say Kane is fit, that’s Kane, Rashford, Sterling and Sancho. Surely we’d need 2 more as cover anyway? A proper striker and someone to cover the wings/attacking midfielder? Not just cover, The whole squad should play a part. In 2006 to call everyone s bluff Italy took six forwards. In the semi alone they used five of them. Freed from habitual caution they had a big surprise factor. It was a different attitude that paid off.

Kane can't resist but he should stay home for definite, even if he were to play I feel like it takes him some time to get up to speed after an injury, he keeps rushing back and it's going to cost him in the long term. Spurs have done a shocking job of managing his injuries imo.

I just meant in general tbh not to be used as cover (if that makes sense)

Is it worth taking an absolute flyer on Mason Greenwood?
Everytime I've seen him play, he's impressed me.

If Rashford was playing in this game today Man Utd wouldn't be losing.

What the fuck is he doing playing with a stress fracture of the back?

So that's Kane and Rashford with serious injuries on the eve of pretty much a home tournament, fucking typical.

I’d take Walker over Wan-Bissaka because I think he’s better and can cover CB. I think he might take Barkley too. And I hope Chalobah carries on doing well because he’s the best DM we have when fit. Foden would be my gamble, happily have him in over Maddison or Mount.

I’d like to see him take Foden too, I just don’t think he will Ross Barkley would be very lucky to get in, in my opinion, there’s far better midfield options about. I’m not sure on Walker, I don’t think he’s the player he was 18 months ago Long shot is Mason Greenwood, albeit it’s probably 12 months too soon. I think we have a great squad that should challenge though, would be nicer if we had a better centre half and a playmaker

I think he likes Barkley though so I think he’ll get in. Greenwood still needs more games at club and England youth teams imo.

And England are any different? England generally try to play good football, have good fast attackers but can’t defend for shit. Southgate as much as I still think he’s a sub standard manager actually manages them as human beings tremendously well and is to be commended for that. MON I think is very similar on that style and I can’t wait until he actually gets to make this side his own. There’s a lot more to like about how England go about football than we do.

Against the better sides,on the break, that could be very effective Against a fast waning Croatia and the Czechs we will have to break them down.

England have flattered to deceive in all the forty odd years I have been watching them. I am absolutely certain that our prima Donna millionaires will never win anything in my lifetime. And yes, they do attempt to play decent football in qualifiers against bum nations & friendlies against big nations who aren’t really arsed. Let’s see how they go on when it really matters... I just find it strange that you can praise and show enthusiasm over that bunch, yet every post about our team is negative & giving yet another player a kicking.

Like with England, the best Stoke players are generally the younger ones. I don’t see us getting better any time soon even with MON. Like I asked, what is there to be positive about?
