Most of them were in the Championship. I tell you that every time you try to peddle this and you seem determined to ignore it? Who do you see playing LWB if not him, out of interest? That's true, looks like he has 29 appearances in the Championship and 7 in league 1. It doesn't answer your question but I would not play wing backs! Do you think this one will work out? I'm in the not convinced camp but I generally am! No idea - it depends how badly his injury has affected his pace, which seems to be the main component of his game. If he still has what we were told was 'remarkable, relentless pace' and 'Gareth Bale traits' then he's just what we need. I wouldn't play wing backs either, but that's what we're getting!

I'll see how much of the Collins fee we spend first and how much intent we show to go for promotion. I'm expecting a few late smash and grabs I think most of the Collins money has gone paying off the bomb squad. Shocking if true, so we've got no money to improve the playing staff to replace them. We've had More rejects than the raggy dolls

www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p09p73npLong interview with MON at about 25:30 - sounds like it was recorded this morning "We hope to have a player we've tracked for a long time in before Saturday" "Collins fee has the potential to rise significantly" "Wilmot's potential is at the same level as Collins" "Ideally we'd like to bring in another 3-4 players. We're light at right-back. We still could do with someone in the middle of midfield and striker as well" "Tyrese's injury is delicate. He has to hit so many benchmarks before he can be reintegrated back into training. He's running and striking the ball. A few more weeks before he'll be reintegrated"

Sounds like Bursik will start the season as number 1 based on that interview and rightly so.
A great turnaround for Joe from being out on loan so many times.
Go on Joe!!!
Glad to hear he wants to add to the midfield too - we definitely need it.

Somebody ought to take O'Neil to one side and tell him not to wear green when they're using green screen.

That’s a great point. They only had one match ball. What’s that about? And no time was added on. The ball boys had their work cut out that’s for sure.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/match-reports/swansea-stoke-city-live-stream-5797590You must be pleased with the performance and the result?MON: I'm delighted with both. Particularly the start, I thought the first 20, 25 minutes were excellent. Then we dealt with a good team, a team who can play and wants to play. That's refreshing. I don't think we conceded too many chances but we had to show what we can do without the ball as well up to half-time then we started the second half well as well and got the goals at the right time. Then we were pretty comfortable really until they scored. That gives them a little bit of energy and oxygen at that point in time but to be fair we saw the game out pretty comfortably. But there's a lesson for us there because we played some great football at 3-0 but we could have played with a bit more purpose and scored again but we didn't do so. It's a great three points and a lot of good aspects to our game as well. Is that Stoke's best performance for a while?MON: We've only played three games so yeah! Look, I don't tend to benchmark them in that way. I look at the team and I can't make comparisons because this is a new team with different players. It was a relatively young team tonight. We had a young back three, a young goalkeeper, Josh Tymon, who is a relatively young player, Jacob Brown.... The age profile of the team is quite different than how it was previously and we are seeing quite a big turnaround in the playing staff at the club. We had two 30 years olds in the team tonight in Joe Allen and Sam Clucas, who both had excellent games as well. It was a really good performance but we're only three games in so a lot of work still to be done.

Sam Clucas looked like he enjoyed his goal? MON: I thought he played very well first of all. The two 8s weren't as effective for us in the previous game but they were really effective tonight.
We spoke about that. They gave us really good energy in the middle of the pitch.
You've got to play against a team with a lot of flexibility and players who can take the ball and we dealt with that very well, Sam, Joe and Nick. We got the ball back very well and used it well.
He enjoyed his goal, clearly. It was a very calm finish, which he obviously has in his locker. The celebration is the celebration and I can't comment on that... it might cost him! It was a yellow card I believe so we'll see.
One change you made: Jacob Brown ran his socks off? Set the tone for the whole team MON: Jacob's had a really strong start to the season.
You know what you're getting. We brought Jacob to the club because he had real raw materials. We know the distance he covers, speed, power as well. His link up play has really improved. He's worked extremely hard in pre-season.
He's a nightmare to play against, it's as simple as that. I would imagine every defender in this league having played against Jacob is glad to see the back of him.
I thought him and Sam were really good up top and Fletch was really good for the 20 minutes he was on as well.
