Where does this money come from? Are we paying for the this then? Mr. Dog, yes we are. It’s taken millions of pounds of our money to finally get to the truth. He fucked her.

Easy to say on here, probably not quite so easy to do when you're offered millions (as this will inevitably be)! Plus you probably would prefer not to go through reliving all the abuse again. Plenty of rape victims have chosen that route. Plus, everyone now thinks he's guilty, just like they do about Michael Jackson's payoffs. Apart from those who like to know their place of course. She was prepared though She doesn’t raise her head above the parapet making all sorts of claims etc etc a lengthy process to start proceedings to back out at last minute. It’s dodgy on both grounds. It’s the queens jubilee year the last thing he needs is to have all sorts of accusations even if false raised against him in court. I’m surprised her lawyers back down after having a cast iron case Imagine how much he would have paid to someone who he had met ! The accusations might go away by paying her off but in the eyes of the public he is guilty, so very few people or companies will want any association with him as he is toxic and thats before any further claims at £7.5m or £10m a go because lets be honest if he was involved I'd be amazed if she was the only girl he never met.

Call me cynical, but I can't help feeling the above response would be almost entirely different if it had been Boris Johnson or any other Tory Party member involved!

Said chalet will have been paid for by the tax payer, so it's all paid by us really. A nonce is a nonce, whether he works for Parliament or is an unelected man of wealth.

There is a scumbag ex tory MP who raped in prison who should rot. If they can find a case against Epstein and his mrs then find the cases against trump Clinton Andrew and anyone else involved. I’m very comfortable with anyone being convicted of rape or other abuse. I’m not comfortable with David Goodwillie not getting charged of rape but losing a civil case on balance of probabilities. I’d rather people get done properly Then you have Ched Evans where the woman clearly was after money so takes away from any alleged rape. The correct verdict happened. Prince Andrew’s problem is as a friend/associate what ever of Epstein he is guilty by that association. This girl must know loads of names, I’m not having she only went with Andrew. The moment she named Andrew he was fucked. He cannot win. Winning a civil case but dragging the monarchy through the courts is not a win. This was the most palatable option for him. I’m disappointed that in the end the girl cared more about the payout than the justice she was seeking

If it is true that the queen is coughing up the 12 million big ones , am I the only one that thinks that’s just too far out wrong. Surely the queen should get the dirty bastard to pay every last penny… Andrew is having an absolute ball with this.

I’m disappointed that in the end the girl cared more about the payout than the justice she was seeking I was referring more to the risible FYD, who would no doubt have found a way to blame Corbyn for anything Johnson or any other Tory MP was facing in the same way that Andrew was. He certainly wouldn't be taking the same position as he has on Andrew... The Telegraph pretty much summed it up for me this morning: "The Duke's team changed tack after the date for his deposition, when he would have been questioned under oath by Ms Guiffre's legal team on 10 March. Walls were closing in fast. After his deposition, he would likely have been so damaged that no-one could save him or agree to fund his settlement". Basically a 41 year old bloke slept with a 17 year old girl. Never a good look in anyone's book, but if you're a member of the royal family and a long-time friend of two convicted paedos and sex traffickers, it's no wonder he's choosing to cough up £12 million rather than be a convicted paedo. Daft, over-privileged twonk! I bet he thought he was untouchable all the way through.

We shall now probably never know the ins and outs (pun not intended) but with this line you have hit the nail on the head for me. If you are in your 40s you really shouldn't be sleeping with 17 year old girls. I know in this country it is technically legal but for me it should be one of those unwritten rules that any "decent" man wouldn't break. And when you consider how high profile he is he simply shouldn't have gone there. Anyway what the hell is wrong with older birds. I like a bit of experience me sen. Just my opinion.

But he may not have. Proving it would have been difficult though and dragged his name through the mu
He is 100% guilty of associating with Epstein and he would have lost the case based on this even if he hadn’t done anything.
I would have much preferred this to go to court. Im no fan of Andrew but as I said this girls motives need questioning.
Why money now Who else

It's not like he kicked a cat or something I think you’ll find that prick is guilty by evidence all over social media. The other prick has pretty much zero evidence against him. Although I believe he is a dirty dog(guilty). There isn’t a comparison to be made unfortunately

Prince Andrew was a trade ambassador to Kazakhstan. The ex- president of Kazakhstan is/was notoriously corrupt. One of his daughters owns the main media outlets in the country. Another daughter transferred multi-million $'s of assets into London during the recent riots in Almaty. As the BBC stated 'there was no suggestion that this money was acquired illegally' but the City of London tends not to look that hard at where money comes from or how it is acquired. Prince Andrew was a part of that circle. I know people who were part of the UK chamber of trade in Kazakhstan who met PA a couple of times. Their opinion of him was not complimentary. Not surprised by the allegations and not surprised that the victim, sorry, survivor, has taken the money and chosen not to have her day in court after all.

It's all about the money. I've seen that lot regarding this.
Under the guise of philanthropy, a multi billionaire abuses his position by gathering young women to be his sex objects. He even employed a friend to travel across the world and collect them. Knowing he can use his wealth to protect himself, he ingratiates himself with high society. The rich and powerful sycophants sidle up to him to harness his influence and various favours. Associating with him brings luxury. A private hedonistic island where anything goes. What happens on the island stays on the island. Careless talk costs wives.
He meets a prince. The prince is one of few people to live on a similar level to the multi bill. The prince is known to smirk and sneer at 'common' people. The prince was born into wealth, stayed in wealth and his sense of entitlement led to little appreciation of his lavish privilege. To him, human beings are merely expendable hindrances to be taken for whatever uses they can provide.
They continue to use and abuse for their own entertainment. Eventually, someone speaks out. This leads to a flurry of public statements. Despite this, the money can protect them. Until public airing of a photo crystallises the popular view.
Princey thought it'd all blow over. That his background led to him being immune from the values that hold societies together.
So yes. It is indeed all about the money.

Still a fair amount of victim shaming going on from the royalists. Not entirely unexpected but unedifying all the same.
