Just a quick thank you to the posters on here who responded to my post last week, when I asked if Pottermus still struts around the family stand concourse before the match, as today's game was my three year old son's first ever game. A big thank you to Telfordstoke who sent me a DM to advise me to contact Ant Emmerson (the fans liaison officer at SCFC). I contacted Ant who came to our seat at 2.30pm and took us pitchside and to the dugout for pics and gave my little lad a goody bag. A very nice gesture that has restored some faith in the club despite our current plight. Highly recommended btw for any fan who is planning to take their kid to their first game (only if they have been very naughty of course). Chin up folks, things can only get better!

My lads first game was back in 2017 when we were in the PL.
This season is his first season ticket and he has yet to see us win a competitive game, either live or on TV in his lifetime.
The only two games we've won this season were in the cup, with him safely tucked up in bed!
I've got a serious, serious issue here.

TP is a God in my eyes TC I guess 'tpisgod' 1 to 11 had gone already so you had to settle on 12 !? 'Heroes get remembered, but legends never die.'

However I got bored while attempting set up with 1,2,3.. being all used up so just jumped to 12 to skip a few as a safe bet & it was avail!

Very similar to my first game vs Burnley in 1963............stood next to Dad in Boothen end amongst the tobacco smoke and smell of piss and beer. Great memories and we drew 4-4. Glad your lad had a great day.

I actually shat myself in Block 32 when 'that bang' went off! He had a great day and it brought a tear to my eye when I looked at him in his Stoke Shirt as as he looked in awe at the stadium, when he saw Pottermus and especially when I picked him up to sing 'we'll be with you'. Like a load of Dads on here I now see him mainly at weekends as me and his mum are at the start of divorce proceedings, but it is so bloody special to share a lifelong passion with your child, as my dad used to take me to the games and it is a part of my life that I will never forget and so that he understands that our club has given and will continue to give us memories whether great or bloody awful - but that this is our club! Maybe the Start of a new thread - 'My first match'?
I bloody love this club btw

You will enjoy your weekends you have him whether stoke win or lose. By the way I also think pulis is god. At the time I wanted change but I would have him back tomorrow to get us out of this mess.

Hi Flea, He loved Pottermus and he was in awe the stadium and pitch but he was a bit scared of the noise when the chanting started, so probably a year or so until I next take him but we have some great videos and photos to share and he is still Stoke mad so it was well worth it!

You’ve introduced your son to a rollercoaster of emotions which will have sporadic periods of success. But you’ve also introduced him to a club with some of the most fantastic set of supporters in the land. He’s part of the family now and he joins us all on the fantastic journey where he will share those glorious moments and despair in the not so glorious moments.
Welcome to Stoke City mate 👍

Three! That’s brave my kid is a month old today and I’m itching take her see the stadium but won’t take her to a proper game until she’s about 10, how did you go on with him being so young? I took my son and daughter to their first Stoke matches for the Leicester friendly in pre-season (daughter was 3 and son is 2). They both loved getting there, seeing the stadium and the "red and white team". However, for my daughter the interest wore off through the first half and she wanted to leave, and my son started to get a bit annoyed at being stuck in his seat but otherwise he was loving everything about it. I'll try them again next summer, possibly with a spring time league match where the weather is nice and we've hopefully trailed off into mediocrity rather than relegation. Had it been a full match with a lot more people though I think it would have been a bit harder for them. Kids just love the experience even if they don't get the football yet. I went to my first game as a 3 year old on my Granddad's knee, a 3-0 Home loss to Tranmere in 1998.

I imagine the culprit (providing theres enough video evidence) might be looking at a stint under various acts for whatever that was.

I tool my Twin Sons aged 4 months to their first home match. They were 2, nearly 3 when I took them to their first away match at Coventry. What are you waiting for, get yours down!
