This made me laugh... ( link) In other words... The Tories say - ok, we’ve missed targets in the past be we promise to meet them in future. Honest. The LibDems say - whatever the Tories do we’ll do more because we are nicer than them. Honest. Labour says - fuck. How did we miss that one. Errrrrr... give us a minute. We are guided by rational, scientific thought. Honest. There’s loads of Nationalised industries in other countries all over the world, so why do people start wetting their knickers here when the word is mentioned. Could it be anything to to with the Conservative project fear & their bastardisation of such words through the filthy rags that their supporters own. If a department of the Civil Service isn’t performing, it can be remedied, managed better & turned around. I know that the Torys would prefer to privatise it so that individuals can make a profit & the CEO can be paid a £200m salary + bonuses. The Torys have demonised a whole way of doing business & in so doing divided society. It’s no way to run a country, but there again they don’t give a £@#&. Look at the country we live in through rampant unbridled capitalism. We have learned enough through this failed 40yr experiment, let’s do it differently...

Look at the country we live in through rampant unbridled capitalism. We have learned enough through this failed 40yr experiment, let’s do it differently... I think that we agree on something Bath. I believe that the utilities including water and the internet should be in public ownership. I can't see how it can be efficient for individual providers to compete to provide us with the same electricity for example. BUT it certainly should not be done in ways in which it was done in the past. There has got to be some sense of pride, ownership and public service for those who work in those industries. .. and unfortunately for Labour it seems to me that McDonnell and Corbyn give the impression that they are not capable of organising a major industry and all they want to do is take us back to a 1970's a model of public ownership...."as long as it isn't in private hands then it must be be ok" There's got to be some sort of ' driver' for work, entrepreneurship, business and if it isn't profit then the battle to change culture is massive.

Would be equally useless with a mop? I thought the Breakfast TV interview was very poorly done and of tabloid press standard. Boris could hardly get a word in before Nagga continually interrupted him with silly comments. Rachel Burden on Radio 5 a few minutes later did a far better job asking intelligent and meaningful questions and allowed him to reply. She certainly did not let him off the hook and continued to press him with the question regarding Russian finances and donations to his party.

Why should children have to put up with the talentless cretinous quota filler Its obvious why she's asking him that and its a question she probably wouldn't ask multimillionaire Corbyn, who's actually from an even more privileged background and has a net worth greater than Johnsons.

That’s nothing, the Conservatives have been pretending a baffoon is a prime minister for months & the ones they presented before this one were just preludes to the inevitable...

Look at the country we live in through rampant unbridled capitalism. We have learned enough through this failed 40yr experiment, let’s do it differently... i wouldn't call it unbridled capitalism, the UK is very much a mixed economy, the hand of the state is involved in the economy in many, many ways, crony corporatism might be a more apt description, some of it is already heavily socialised. the good thing about capitalism is when a business or company goes bump another one springs up in its place, with socialism when the state fails it just fails forward and keeps going, thats whats happening with the NHS right now.

Have you seen Diane Abbott and Emily Thornbery being interviewed? They look shell shocked/ like a stunned rabbit at the simplest question and you can see their brain working overtime on how NOT to tell the truth, give a straightforward answer. Mitchell is correct on this ridiculous phrasing of a question though. The BBC/ interviewers have gone much too far in thinking that it is all about them/ their agenda.

Here's Farage doing exactly what you've described Abbott and Thornberry doing: In fairness he's no better or worse than the rest - just the same as them. Absolutely not at all. He's simply taking the BBC to task in their setting of the agenda ( as well as their technique of interrupting at an appropriate moment)...other interviewees ought to do that. He's 100% correct here... and no he is not perfect but he tries to answer questions more directly than the other career politicians that have been mentioned. Tony Benn was another good one at answering questions in a straightforward manner.

No I am not wrong I am betting I know more about tax, accounting and transfer pricing than you either will. You cant avoid paying local taxes thats just bollocks once you start to employ people and have offices you become domiciled for tax and pay local tax on your profits, wage taxes etc regardless of where you are registered. Instead of stating what you think you know, do some reading up on it like I said. It's quite incredible just how many times you get proven wrong when you come out acting like you know best. Just because you have read something does not mean you understand it, I have literally spent 20+ years dealing with companies who have branches or subsidiaries all over europe and the world they do not get to choose whether they pay local taxes, once you have an office or staff based in a country you are deemed to be have a permanent establishment for tax and you pay local tax. Amazon UK pay tax in the uk on their audited profits, they buy and sell to Amazon germany, amazon usa and are all part of the amazon group who are registered for tax in the USA, this means the profits are all added together and Amazon USA pays tax on the total profit less any local taxes already paid. It's quite incredible how you reading something does not equal you understanding it.

Why should children have to put up with the talentless cretinous quota filler Yep why should blue peter have to endure Johnson hes more a cbbs type of person!! well that's how he acts when he cant have his way!! toys out the pram and temper tantrums!! There used to be a time when the left could make a convincing and reasonable argument based upon the issues. Corbyn himself for example could speak with conviction about membership of the EU until he was forced to play party politics. Nowadays those that think that they are on the left seem only to be capable of attacking the person , be it a politician or poster. Those that are" old" are now stereotyped and deemed a justifiable group to vilify and then the rest of the mob join in. Unfortunately the " left" don't seem to have grasped that they will never win power through those methods. It's better to try to win the argument.
