women, on average, earn less than men over the course of a lifetime but it has nothing to do with sexism, women spend more time out of the workforce (to raise children) and choose different careers than men, thats why women earn less over the course of a lifetime, its already illegal to pay women less than men for doing the same job, theres no way Corbyn doesn't know this! he's just fishing for virtue signalling browny points.

Can you imagine Boris saying he'll introduce a 4 day week for the NHS and the next day Hancock say's the complete opposite. There would be a meltdown.

I cannot stand our racist national anthem,I personally think its an utter disgrace.Every other anthem on the planet sings about the people, freedom and the power of.Ours is a complete embarrassment. I never thought the day would come when I agreed with an 'eggybread' post. But, I too, cannot stand our national anthem. The tune is such a slow dirge, and I frankly don't care whether god saves our gracious queen or not (although I've nothing against her personally. She's not a bad old stick). Our National anthem should be about what a great nation this is, what a great and glorious past we have and what a great future our brethren can look forward to and contribute towards. Land of Hope and Glory. Agreed. As an atheist and republican it doesn't really resonate with me. I do get the impression that whatever was picked to replace it would offend the eggybreads of this world though. Speaking of anthems, Lily's off again: www.express.co.uk/showbiz/tv-radio/1203712/Piers-Morgan-Lily-Allen-Rule-Britannia-rant-Good-Morning-Britain-ITV-video

It's not illegal to pay men and woman different wages for the same job. Maybe in some cases (public sector) that relates to a minimum starting salary, but I've never worked for a company where there is a salary set in stone for all employees doing the same job. There have been salary bands which vary quite a bit, but not a defined figure applicable to all. Edit: By the way, I don't think Woman are paid unfairly. I'm just pointing out that salaries are negotiable.

Labour's policies are almost all solely for the benefit of the working class. Depends what you mean by working class , we have record numbers of people in work , working classes including tradesmen are busy as can be around my area and making great money . My mate in stoke can't find a builder to do work for months ahead . The working classes always benefit from a healthy economy, A labour government such as Corbyn and McDonnell will send ours into free fall . Get rid of zero hours contacts, maintain a sustainable living wage . Improve public sector pay . Oh and don't forget the old folks, let's increase pension benefits 😀 In terms of the economy there, i just have to disagree, i think working classes earning more money means better economy. And the unemployment rate means nothing if those in work still have to use food banks etc.

Another vote winner from Labour............Not People like her make me sick!! Another loony with far-left wing views, who wants to dismantle our heritage, history and traditions... What the hell is happening to our country? This continued nullifying of our identity as a nation has to stop!! If she doesn’t like it, she should bugger off and live somewhere like Venezuela. What is our identity? We've traditionally been very quick to uphold left wing labour values, far quicker than most western democracies.

To be fair, as a remainer I also dislike anything that goes against our national identity and traditions. If someone says that the national anthem shouldn't be sung/taught, or that people aren't allowed to fly the flag then I most certainly will not give them my support. I also think that there is a distinction between Remainers and people who are trying to erode our identity and go against traditional British values. For those in the latter category I'm quite happy for them to all fuck off.

A woman's work is never done.
Perhaps that's why they get paid less 😎

And when you take into account women more likely to take years out of the workforce (to have kids) and the fact women are less likely to go for high earning jobs, and less likely to ask for a raise, the pay gap, as someone like Corbyn presents it (sinister sexism) doesn’t exist, there’s a gap for sure, but it’s nothing to do with oppression of women, it’s mostly a naturally occurring phenomenon. Men are at the top and bottom end of the pay scale, women tend to be somewhere in the middle.

I think the issue is more with those in charge being reluctant to allow people to show national pride. It's another sign of the country going soft imo. I'd say that portraying people who are proud of bring British as being right wing nationalists only serves to make it so. I'm proud of being British but am in no way right wing. I have no issue with anyone living in the UK as long as they integrate, contribute to society and respect the country.

I don’t see how a nation can preserve its culture and allow in hundreds of thousands of people from other cultures at the same time, there is s bound to be some erosion and dilution.

Didn’t some polling organisation give trump a 2% chance of winning on the eve of the election ? ... as it stands now it looks like labour have no chance, but you just never know, strange things are happening in politics at the moment, it takes a brave man to say something will or won’t happen for definite.

No one who's left to fight or support ISIS should be allowed back... and anyone supporting them here should be kicked out as well. It's treason in my opinion and their nationality should be revoked without question. If her family want to see her then they can go to wherever she is.

See Bonzo has jibbed out of going to Glastonbury this afternoon, cause there were protesters there. He’s a £@#&!n lightweight. He’s going to have to get used to this, cause he’s not the most likeable of people. At least Corbyn turns up to his appointments. Man up Joris!
