I think some people are wankered on the latest cheap drug cause they have feel they have nothing else to live for. As for describing words, we all have prejudices, cause they’re about fear. It’s the human condition. We have a society where many people don't opt out, they simply have nothing to opt in to. Does the average Joe want to opt in to working his cock off, Sheiky? Surely some people will always opt out of that? Who enjoys it? I know I fucking don't! 😁

Surely some people will always opt out of that? Who enjoys it? I know I fucking don't! 😁 You might not enjoy it Tricky but you seem like a pretty proud man and I bet you wouldn’t want to be seen as a freeloader if you could help it. In Stoke I think people are proud, I know more people working 2 or 3 jobs to put food on the table for their kids as I do on benefits. There are some people who can’t work though. Sick and disabled people, and carers (who might be able to work if there was adequate social care if was). Those people shouldn’t be punished. It’s not a choice. I also know some mothers where the cost of childcare is so high it doesn’t make financial sense for them to go to work even though they want to.

I know someone who is unable to work due to diabetes which led to a leg amputation (below the knee) and let me tell you, he’s doing alright financially from benefit payments , he’s far from being on his arse, I’m actually amazed at how much he gets! the welfare state is still pretty generous in this country even under a Tory government, obviously the Labour Party have an interest in making things seem far worse than they actually are, they’re the opposition, they have to make it seem like things are shit otherwise they don’t get into power, but if you genuinely need the help you invariably do get it.

It hasn’t even been Labour that’s done it it’s been disabled and welfare charities over the years and also the UN inspection report? I struggle to see how this is Labour making it seem worse than it is? It’s literally been in the main stream media for years. Not only has austerity disproportionately affected the poor sick and disabled, the Conservative governments own report found it has been BAD for the economy. I don’t see how it can be justified. And that’s without even mentioning the farce as to how it was implemented and people taking their own lives because their payments kept being delayed. Again you’ve effectively had a post code lottery as a result of privatisation and private companies being paid to administer the scheme.

Define working class? Earnings? Skills? School tie? I don't make the definitions. Use the standard. There is no standard. That's my point. Using hackneyed class labels is pure lefty identity politics. Billionaires back Conservative's.... apart from Peter Coates. Workmen vote Labour.... apart from the chippy who just fitted my skirting boards and loves Boris. Conservative represent ambition no matter what your background.

Mr Mo is full on this morning.
It’s a good job if Johnson doesn’t get a grilling from Andrew Neil. I’m concerned Mo’s blood pressure would explode.

aftr marr today where Johnson was shown up for the arse he is this may change That’s just one poll, what about these ? I don’t see the marr interview changing much, Twitter reaction isn’t a good gauge, the wider public might have been irritated by marrs constant inturuptions.

Very interesting. This election is very, very close. Tory HQ may not be too unhappy to see a big cut in their lead. They are concerned that the traditional Labour voters they need to vote for them (because they will “get Brexit done”), will stay with Labour if they think the Tories don’t need their vote because the Tories are on course for a big majority. Likewise Tory Remainers may vote for another party if they think they their vote for, say the Liberals, won’t lead to a Corbyn government. And the Tories need all these votes in the marginals they have to win. In other words, the movement in the polls this week is possibly a reaction to other polls more than in response to any action of the politicians.

Boris’ plan that Andrew Marr was the soft trust just backfired. If Marr made him look like such a fool imagine what Neil would have done. He underestimated him - it’s his fault. Boris thought he could get away with spinning every question to not answering it and Marr wouldn’t let him. Whichever way you feel you can’t assume the public are idiots and lie to them when you’re lying about numbers for hospitals and nurses. It’s just been completely daft.

If Johnson thought he’d get an easier time off Marr than Neil he was being pretty stupid. I’m sure most voters take these interviews with a pinch of salt. They expect the person being interviewed to get tied up in knots. Johnson though has made a big error. Instead of submitting to his trial by television and taking the medicine. He made a story about him being scared. That will likely live longer in folks minds than a painful experience with Neil. It will last longer than Corbyn’s interview which is already old news.

I was just about the write that about Neil, most people accept that Neil gives everyone a grilling so oddly it doesn’t really do much damage, nobody comes away from the Neil show looking particularly good, you’re there to be poked, prodded and made to squirm but does it move the needle either way ? Probably not. I said Johnson should have done the interview weeks ago, he should have been first in line, got it over with.

Doing it now could be worse than not doing it, The Neil show is drawing big numbers at the minute, I think 3m watched the Corbyn interview ? Many more on catch up and YouTube, he’s slipped up not doing it weeks ago when there was probably less interest in the election, I don’t think he can do it now, it’s too close to election day to risk, if he properly fucks up there’s no time to recover.

In the same way that the current Labour Party denounce all New Labour's bad bits but take credit for the good. They are all the same.
