That may be true but it's not what I asked Would you suggest to crobyn that he should do the interview if he was In Johnsons position Yes and it should be incumbent on the national broadcaster to agree attendance as they had already indicated to the other parties. I see slimy Gove and Johnson's penis of an old man are trying to get in on the CH4 environment debate now and have been told to do one! The Tories of had the gall to make a formal complaint! The outright shower of shithousery of these people defies belief. Worse than make a complaint - threatening to “review” its licence if they get into power: www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/nov/28/ice-sculpture-to-replace-boris-johnson-in-channel-4-climate-debateAbsolutely fucking terrifying.

I don't blame johnson for not turning up to the channel4 debate at all, if it were any other broadcaster i'd be disappointed, but channel4 for a climate change debate ?... sensible move from johnson and Farage not to join this smug fest.

Well as you suggested yes it's a good job your not a political adviser It's quite simple when you have a supposed large lead you have every thing to lose and nothing to gain by exposing yourself to rigorous close scrutiny

this "green new deal" would make tory austerity look like a walk in the park, working class peoples standard of living would be decimated, thankfully the crazies pushing this won't get anywhere near the levers of power.

Yeah and Labours policy's are batshit mental. Stick it all on credid what could possibly go wrong? It’s the poor, sick and disabled who’ve effectively paid under the austerity measures whilst the Tories have cut taxes for the rich. Yet the Tories are better for the economy? And remind us again why was it those austerity measures had to be put in place?

The Germany article literally points to reasons it was more difficult than in “places like Britain” because of existing structures. I suppose we do nothing and let the planet die. Sounds fab.

Just now Channel Four are advertising a Five Way Leaders' Debate tonight. Only Johnson & Farage have not confirmed their attendance so Channel Four are hosting empty chairs for them in case they decide to turn up. Embarrasing or just sheer cowardice? If Johnson can't stand up to his U.K. political opponents what chance will he have standing up to Trump in any trade negotiations. Anybody watch it?

No, i'm all for being environmentally friendly, i just do not go in for this alarmism which is based on the absolute worst case, least likely scenarios. If you want to waste billions on useless new energy then you know who to vote for.

So just to be straight, you're trying to claim labour didn't absolutely wreck the economy and actually there was plenty of cash left over so austerity wasn't needed. It was all a big lie to give some of the massive stockpiles of cash labour accumulated over the years to some rich folk. Delusional.

Labour should be walking this election but they’re not and it’s a huge reason. I think a lot of Labour supporters feel the same. But for me I had to put that aside and can’t vote for a party that has shown completely and utter contempt for the poorest in society.

The PIGS are economic basket cases, Cyprus’s economy is basically tied to Greece while France is a disaster zone. Must admit I’m a little surprised to see Belgium in that group. The point is our debt is still very, very high. Without ‘austerity’ we’d be right up there with the likes of Portugal, Italy, Greece and Spain. Not a good place to be.

It’s an interesting question - have a read of the TUC article. There’s evidence austerity stalled the economy and therefore has made it worse. There’s a link in the article to Philip Hammond admitting this himself. That’s also why there’s been so many academics and economists backing Labours spending plans as they believe they will help the economy.

It’s not that Labour doesn’t care for them, it’s worse than that. They treat their Northern heartlands with contempt. I reckon the Islington Set is even more removed from the aspirations and attitudes of the Northern working class that the Bullingdon Boys. Which is saying something.
