When a poll comes out the leaders of that poll get excited the non leaders say it’s only a poll means nothing Usually that is the case. This time the non-leaders get excited if a poll shows them less than 10 points behind the leader.

Interesting to hear Matt Hancock (the Tory health minister) on the Today programme just now.
Unlike almost every other interview I’ve heard recently, he was in complete control when being pressed on Corbyn’s charges about the NHS sell off. The interviewer was the person sounding desperate. A good indication of how feeble yesterday’s Labour’s dead cat attack was.
Well, he was in complete control until he was asked about whether Johnson would do the Andrew Neil. At which point he went full on avoid mode à la Corbyn.

Or you take the poll for what it is, an absolutely tiny poll. Listening to the radio Nick Ferrari is talking as if the count was done yesterday. That poll has basically asked 1 out of every 50,000 registered voters how they're going to vote... Ah well 😂

Question:
If Corbyn left and was replaced by someone without the antisemitism reputation, would that make a difference to anyone on here?
I'm not sure myself. I think a vote for Brexit is a vote for Boris, irrespective of who the leader of the Labour party is and irrespective of how much guff Boris comes out with.

A labour politician who stood up for his core voters, a leader who understood their needs and wishes ala brexit, A leader who didn’t champion British enemies A leader who could do good things without a risk of bankrupting this country I would vote for him

Corbyn is going to be vert buisy for some time as he is committed to PLANTING 30,000 TREES a day ! 😄🌲🌳
It would be wonderful to have somebody as leader who is honest and realistic.

No one should take anything from a poll regardless of what side you support. It means naff all and can do more harm than good. I'm struggling to think what benefits a poll actually offers....best to avoid them and if you think they add value to how you feel, well that's one for you.

I must say Labour look done if this YouGov super poll is to be believed as I fear it should be.
Be interesting to see if in the aftermath they stay on the left or try to occupy the more inclusive centre ground of Tony Blair.

Labour changing their strategy means it's pretty much curtains, they are flailing and have some internal polling data to show it.
Huge Conservative majority after 9 years in government. Wow.

Their stance on Brexit is unforgivable. "We promise to honour a second referendum result after completely shitting on the first". I don't believe them on taxation either. Like you and others have said, Labour should be walking this election. I don't think it's just Corbyn, it's the collection of pillocks around him, too. Burgon is about the most ludicrous MP in recent memory, and virtually the whole front bench give him a close run. The decent Labour MPs don't seem to get a look in.

Liberal democrat vote collapsing and the brexit vanity party will make sure Labour keep enough seats for Corbyn to carry on. If there was no brexit party its highly likely Yvette Cooper would lose her seat but their 12% or so will keep her in.

both labour and lib dems seem to be getting desperate. The lib dems are back peddling on their "stop brexit by email on the first day" talk and are now saying they're for a 2nd referendum and with two weeks left labour have finally decided to focus on their northern voters, its too little, too late, labour of 2017 was far more attractive to northern voters than 2019 labour, i doubt they can undo 2 years of waffle on brexit in the space of 2 weeks! as it stands it looks like its all over bar the shouting but in the age of the internet things can change quicker than they used to. www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/nov/28/labour-to-focus-on-brexit-backing-voters-in-final-fortnight

Johnson should have done the Andrew Neil interview weeks ago, he should have made sure he was the first to do it, get it over with so it fades in the memory, you don't want voters going to the voting booth a few days after being savaged ... i doubt an appearance now would be catastrophic but nobody comes away from that show looking particularly good, do they ?

I think a vote for Brexit is a vote for Boris, irrespective of who the leader of the Labour party is and irrespective of how much guff Boris comes out with. If a more centrist Labour leader came in, many would be moaning their bag off about both parties being the same and the only difference is the colour of the rosette. Voters probably have more of a wider choice on the ballot paper than they have for quite a few years - even more so than in 2017 as Labour's manifesto is even more 'left'. It's shame the Brexit Party have bottled it and stood down in many constituencies, as they also offered an alternative option that is markedly different to the Conservatives.

The problem is he's a lefty. Whoever replaces him would also be painted a risk just in a different way. How would you define Lisa Nandy? I always think she comes across well in interviews. Depends how many ales I had I do think the next leader whenever that is will be female. With how things are set now the three strongest candidates for me would probably be Raynor (I really like her), Pidcock (I reckon she would be outside bet) or Thornberry (who'd probably command the most respect from the benchesbut get she isn't as likeable and relatable). The NEC though has now largely been taken back by the left and Pidcock is a darling amongst them and I don't think that will change too much. I don't see anything but a lefty getting in after and this media onslaught starting again against someone else. The establishment will always go against a change candidate. Good job Labour will do it this time I suppose

Just seen on Sky News that John Bercow is presenting (or co-presenting) Sky's election results coverage on 12th Dec.
You really can't make this up, can you? I thought we'd seen the last of that narcissistic little shithouse. But no...oh no. He's back already, like an irritating rash that refuses to go away.

Its quite interesting watching the likes of you deflect and lie about antisemitism whilst still believing yourself to be the good guys just be honest free broadband is more important to you.

Are you as bothered about Islamophobia in the Conservative party at all and the Muslim Council of Britains concerns? www.bbc.com/news/election-2019-50561043 I'm guessing not. And Labour are expelling anyone found to be antisemitic having implemented a fast track investigation process. What are the Conservative party doing - letting them back in metro.co.uk/2019/11/21/conservative-party-slammed-quietly-reinstating-councillor-made-anti-muslim-comments-11197712/ and this having gone on for a year have just said they will launch an investigation in future and have yet failed to do so. It's quite interesting watching the likes of you accuse casual racists of being tied up the Labour party when the Conservative party have their own issues on a similar scale.
