Does anybody know why the deputy speaker is choosing which amendments get chosen, rather than Bercow? Cheers I'm sure it said Lindsay Hoyle on the news earlier...... Yeah it is but I'm wondering why?

Quick reminder for the upcoming election. Any Corbyn policy is a unicorn. Any Johnson policy is a Brexit dividend. Any grown adult still peddling this unicorn crap should be stripped of the vote in fairness...... Labour retracted its pledge to abolish student debt yesterday as Shadow Education Secretary Angela Rayner said there had been “no plans” to write-off existing loans

So the Conservatives are all for an election but not if EU citizens or 16-17 year olds are allowed to vote? British citizens, or any European citizen for that matter, living in anyother European country don't get to vote in their national elections, so why should we allow it? Don’t they? Are you sure about that?

It costs the health tourists nowt however:
First off, the £2bn figure being cited on Monday might be a memorable number but it's also rather higher than the government is claiming. The report says:
"We think that this probably in the range £1.5bn to £1.9bn." from the Department of Health not sure if it includes the cost of treating illegal immigrants I would hardly call that nowt.
Well if you read the link, it says about 150-300 million. And I fundamentally disagree with the idea that we shouldn't treat illegal immigrants. Department of Health figures say 1.5bn-1.9bn per annum. do a little research.

Only 9th December amendment selected, so it was more nonsense from Cummings in the end.
EDIT: BBC contradicting themselves and now saying that actually three amendments have been selected.

But illegal immigrants who don't pay a penny in to the system should be treated free by our NHS What would your alternative be? To act as the law states in these circumstances, is that reasonable ?

British citizens, or any European citizen for that matter, living in anyother European country don't get to vote in their national elections, so why should we allow it? Don’t they? Are you sure about that? Limited to citizens Worldwide, the right to vote or suffrage is generally limited to citizens of countries. But in some 60 nations, resident foreigners are allowed to vote under widely diverging electoral laws, though mostly in municipal polls and rarely in national elections. Those countries include Uruguay, which requires 15 years of residency, and New Zealand, which allows foreign nationals to vote "if you hold a resident visa or a permanent resident visa and have lived in New Zealand continuously for 12 months or more." Norway allows residing "Nordic Passport" citizens the vote in local elections. Britain gives leeway to "qualifying" Commonwealth citizens. Portugal and Brazil have reciprocal arrangements. Germany sticks strictly to German citizens.

£300m is nowt? What about the doctors and nurses time that could be seeing legal residents. No wonder you want more money, more money will solve everything when it's somebody else's money. The NHS estimated waste last count was nearly £8 billion a year, that's about 6% of it's budget, how many extra nurses could be employed for that and existing ones given a pay rise ? You really have to question how he became a teacher or maybe not wasn't Huddy a teacher once upon a time, frightening thought these individuals are teaching our kids, any way surely this money could be used to improve our customs department to stop these freeloader's getting into our country to start with. Just hope I never teach yours, otherwise I'll brainwash them into communism too! Also, the use of the word 'freeloaders', who do you mean by that?

Well if you read the link, it says about 150-300 million. And I fundamentally disagree with the idea that we shouldn't treat illegal immigrants. Department of Health figures say 1.5bn-1.9bn per annum. do a little research. "The Department of Health published research into the cost of providing services to visitors and immigrants in 2013. The total gross cost at the top end of the estimate is £2 billion per year, of which a relatively small amount was recouped through charges and other arrangements. However, this total includes the use of the NHS by nationals of countries with which the United Kingdom has a reciprocal agreement. Within this total, ‘health tourism’, where people come to the United Kingdom with the express intent of using health services to which they were not entitled, was estimated to cost between £60 million and £80 million per year. This compares to the annual NHS budget of £113 billion." That's providing services to visitors and immigrants, not 'health tourism'. I googled that and found it in about 30 seconds. Do a little research.

You were doing so well pity you have a mental block with the word illegal as in illegal immigrants, by definition they are here illegally is that really to hard to comprehend ? if I smuggled myself into the USA would I be given free healthcare as an illegal immigrant
