I have a feeling that this thread will still be running when we have been relegated again. Who will manage us in the third division.

Looks like we might be playing Crewe next season.

With it being International week, it is interesting to see every journalist describe Maclean as the βIrish Wingerβ. If Jones keeps playing him at left back we will need a new manager sooner rather than later.

PotterLee on Twitter claims we've been turned down by Chris Hughton and Sam Allardyce. He talks absolute bollocks, called him out on it this summer so he pm'd me some super top secret information which would prove he is itk, it was absolute bollocks too.Β Chopper is the only person with any credibility and even he's not as hot as he was.Β Yeah he's PM'd me rubbish in the past too.

I've been to Crete on holiday for a week and was really happy we finally won a game. It was of course the first game of the season I haven't watched live (our two first games) or live on TV (the rest)! Despite getting our first win I still want to see Jones gone. We also had good games last season where we thought we were on the right way, Leeds and Nottingham at home are two good examples of this, but as we all know these games weren't turning points at all! I want to see him replaced ASAP as I really can't see NJ being the future. I really hope the board haven't stopped looking for the right man despite of our win on Saturday. You need to stay away until May. Actually itβs 100% my wifeβs fault, every time she comes back from her Saturday morning bike ride we give up the lead. She was out for the entire Swansea match and we won. 100% correlation.

I think realistically now it depends on how we do up until Christmas - we've got to play Barnsley, Millwall, Reading, Luton and Wigan - we realistically need 10/12 points minimum from them 5 plus a smattering of points from the rest of our games to just keep us in touch with survival. If we can get to the halfway stage, which should be Christmas time with 20/21+ points and build on the Swansea performance/result (though there will be set-backs as well as hopefully progress) and we have a decent window, bringing in a proper left-sided wing back as well as another dynamic midfield option and potentially someone who can play at 10 if Powell/ince dont cut the mustard - and keep hold of Badou, who has held the midfield together recently, then we have a fighting chance of staying up. Can't say I'm particularly confident though, Swansea played into our hands by playing it out from the back and possibly taking it for granted that we would find after the early goal - the likes of Barnsley will sit deep and wait for a mistake, and given our record in those type of games, I'm not convinced we will do it.

Odds seem to be completely unchanged since the Swansea game. Hughton was on Talksport this morning saying he's desperate to get back in and he knows he can't be choosy with so many good managers out of work

I'm sure I'm not the only person who saw it either. This is the manager speculation thread, right?

This is the manager speculation thread, right? That was ages ago. In more recent news, the Krays have been jailed π My money is on allardyce anyway. Not sure hughton is the right man myself, if Jones is removed we need a straight talking no bullshit manager that the players know they have to perform for or they're out. Allardyce, TP or pearson for me. Allardyce is a sure thing results wise in this League and comes without the previous manager baggage. In saying that if we beat Fulham there will be an overwhelming call by supporters to keep Jones on.
