I'm not convinced Verlinden will get many starts. I reckon O'Neill will see him as an impact player when we're in need of a goal with 15 minutes to go I suppose it will depend on how he does in those sub appearances. He won’t start for a little while, though he should vs Brentford. If Ince doesn’t start adding end product and Verlinden shows the right attitudes, I certainly feel he will be in the team. I might be wrong....my name isn't Bayern so it is a possibility....but I don't think Verlinden can play for us until 5th

Let's remember Verlinden isn't British, so that automatically puts him down mon's pecking order. why do you think that ? am I missing something about only British players play ?

I think its garbage but probably based on sparing / non use of Diouf, Etobo, Ndaye and Bruno which is in its self down to the club wanting some or all of them off the wage bill.

It has been suggested by 1 or maybe 2 posters that O'Neill is a racist who doesn't like black or foreign players. Where they've got that idea from I don't know

The level if expectation being thrown on this lads shoulders is grossly unfair. I'm also not certain he will be the MON mould for a player, strong direct and aggressive.... Maybe he shows some of the traits. Let's hope we are not screaming at him that he is a bag of shit in a few weeks a la Edwards.

I think it’s a question of just having some competition for wingers- he is certainly more aggressive and direct than Ince.

Richard Carter is one bitter snide dickhead isn't he. Surely going to make it hard for him to find a job when he's badmouthing past employers.

Completely agree and I don't think Ince would be MONs tipple in an ideal world. Even Shawcross showed how it should be done against Wednesday.

He spoke the truth but then the fans just saw someone attacking their club. I find it odd. Let’s see what happens with Verlinden and hope he does come back.

Looks to be taken as read he's coming back for MON to have a look at throughout January at the very least, and surely he'll at least make the bench, beginning at Brentford.
Can't imagine a scenario where he goes back on loan at the end of the month unless we loan in at least a couple of wingers.

Where they've got that idea from I don't know Ince is undroppable at the minute and I’m pretty sure he’s not white 👍 also pretty sure I’ve seen indi and diouf on the pitch in recent games. So I’m not sure the Martin kkk O’Neill banners need to be ordered for the millwall game just yet

www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/18131648.bolton-want-thibaud-verlinden-extend-loan-stoke-city/“We have spoken to Stoke, we want him to stay,” he told The Bolton News. “But he has to understand his function for the team is as important as scoring goals. “The unnecessary flamboyancy at times – if it isn’t backed up with hard work, it’s pointless. We end up with the Accrington results. “He is somebody I love working with, it’s a positive challenge. He is like an elder son for me – I want to guide him, I want to help him play in the Premier League. “I’d pay to watch Eric Cantona, I’d pay to watch Youri Djorkaeff, but Thiabud at this moment in time I’d want a complimentary!” he laughed. “He will be a hell of a player, in time, but we don’t want too many mistakes on our watch. “I want Bolton Wanderers to be successful as well as Thibaud, so that’s my point. “I keep challenging him every day and sometimes it gets the better of him, sometimes it gets the better of me, but we’re good friends.”

Not once is his whole tenure did he play even one so it's no surprise he's ditched the foreign players here. Yes, it’s absolutely shocking that MON didn’t have the foresight to include a few Dutch and French imports. Did he have no idea of the rich vein of talent out there?
