Ostrichgate apart, that’s not such a bad shout. And strangling James McArthur apart. And making up that story about blinding wild dogs in Romania apart. And whatever the fuck happened at Derby apart.

We could sign mourhino and to avoid ffp restrictions quietly pass him £50m in used £20 notes in a brown envelope with secret handshakes and all that, failing that there is always Iian dowie

I'm indifferent regarding yet another Manager to be honest. I think my attitude would be to Jones, you got us into this mess.now you get us out of it. Even if it means another season stuck in the Championship. Unless Jones walks of course. Then my feeling would be that we need a right Bastard in charge if we can find one. A no nonsense Sergeant Major, which probably means a TP return. I think someone like Chris Hughton would be too "nice" to cope with the crisis and wouldn't be ruthless enough. Thing is if we had Tone it would almost certainly be the end of the progess we have made in bringing the youngsters through. I said this at the match - whoever we get needs to be an absolute bastard of a person. Someone who is prepared to smash some balls and egos. I would love Chris. Hughton to be given the chance but deep down I think he will be too nice and will get trodden on by the shitesters in our squad (whoever they are). Also if we get a bastard as manager we need to find a co bastard to play in midfield I think many fans would call Imbula a bastard, so we have one already. Many posters have said if TP was to return it would split the fan base, but I feel that with the questions regarding Jones the opinion of fans is already split, so we may as well start from there.

It won't be an up and coming young manager that's for sure. That's two we've tried. How did potter do today? You can see why teams go for experience Don't experienced managers ever lose games then ?

Won’t be an ‘up and coming’ manager.
Pete won’t allow that, and some could argue rightly so.
I’d take hughton for sure. Stand out candidate by a mile.
Anyone else doesn’t interest me.
I was all for getting rid of jones Wednesday but watching today I just don’t know who could get a tune out of that lot, so may as well let him continue to try. He bought the players, got us into this mess so let’s see what he’s made of. He does need to change his system and tactics though that’s for sure.
However, if hughton wants it, id give it him now.

Going back to a seasoned old type manager seems to be the only possible way out of this mess we've got ourselves into. Two banks of 4 and come and break us down type of attitude seems to be the only escape route!

We need back to basics and the foundations rebuilt. It might not be pretty but it is necessary. We can’t fall any further.
Most importantly we need a manager who is able to adapt to the players we have and can get the best out them. We can’t have another manager trying to rip the team up every six months because quite simply we can’t afford it.

So, if the CEO is away until next month, speculation suggests the middle 😂, how does that complicate things??? I would sincerely hope that we are in the process of calling an emergency board meeting and telling him to fuck his holiday and get back to his job that he had been evidently failing since forever- damn chancer. Taking the Coates for a ride

John had to move over to let Mum and Dad take their seats. I wonder why Peter chose today to sit in his old seat.

Stoke City supporters must be petrified at the thought of the current brains trust appointing a new manager. Between them both, Senior and Junior have a rap sheet a mile long of disastrous appointments.
They have engineered a position with the help of that weasel Scholes where one of the best jobs in English football is a fast becoming a poisoned chalice.
Shameful Stoke City, SHAMEFUL.

We need someone who can play a formation suited to our best players. I'd hate to say it, but didn't Mick Mcarthy play some type of Christmas tree formation ---------------Hogan--------------- ----------Powell--Duffy----------- Verlinden---------------Ince------ ----------Etebo--Clucas---------- ---Lindsay--Batth---Collins----- I would have a look at him if Moyes and Hughton aren't interested.
