I liked he link up play and how he managed to ghost around the area. Yep, movement, guile, a bit more burst of pace. If Jones plays Afobe and Vokes at Charlton he needs sectioning. |

He was one bright spark from today.
Not as quick as some people have made him out to be but he held it up, he controlled it and he was busy in the right areas.
Good debut.

Can't really disagree with what is being said, but...in 20 minutes he scored exactly as much as the others did in 70. He's not the answer to our problems.

There was some exceptionally poor play and decision making when sticking in a good cross was the best option, in the first half especially. Twice McClean got towards the 18 yard box and instead of driving to the byline chose to cut inside into a congested area, and Smith was in a great position put practically passed it to their keeper at the near post. We were hardly sticking in crosses left, right and centre when we didn't play the diamond either. |

I saw him at Tranmere and there were one or two small things that gave it away instantly. Clever player. Switched on and you can tell he's had to sweat a bit in non-league. The two that played today will forge a good partnership if and when given time. |
