Saw Ward at Lincoln and in that game he looked pretty slow. Perhaps ok for a left back but not a wing back. Until we get a recognised player for that position I think a Clucas has to be the best of a bad bunch.

He was poor but not the worst on the pitch today.
That said it's such an important and specialised position why the fuck are we gambling on the dog with a balloon who can't even get in the team in his natural position?
I've just read on another thread that he was someones man of the match? Fucking hell and those who don't like him are accused of agendas?

Macca will get slaughtered at left back, we have to bear in mind that this was a fairly average attacker against him today. I dread to think when some of the more capable teams come to town this year. If we don't get a left back then the manager has to answer some serious questions here.

He tackles like a kid playing at school. Just sticks his left leg out randomly hoping to get the ball or the player.
He will cost us a lot of points at left-back.
Lets see how stubborn Jones is. Surely he cant play Mclean ever again at left back

He was absolutely roasted until we switched and put Clucas there, every time QPR got the ball they were looking to get it to their right winger, I can't imagine why..

I could understand him playing there if we were a pub team with 11 players, but we’re not. Just sign a proper left back please. And that’s not a slight on JM. He’ll come up against easier opponents than the lad today and I thought he did OK overall but he’ll never be a left back and he hasn’t been for his entire career. He isn’t good enough on the ball to be LB on top of everything else.
