what a t*t lay off the monkey dust sunshine it's fucking your brain up. In the system we're playing what did he do wrong? Count the number of poor headers that went straight to the opposition, count the number of passes that went astray. Count our blessings that he (hopefully) won’t play there again. Why did Clucas take over from him if he was doing nothing wrong? He was dire

Let's just say I find some of your views 'unusual' But I won't be staying up all night to debate it

I reckon we move Clucas to LB for the Charlton game. Clucas is actually decent at LB. not saying he is the answer but he would do us a job I reckon

He missed a header that he went for with his foot for some reason, other than that he did well, they targeted him and he coped with it well or are you blaming him for the keeper showing why people wont pay our asking price. McLean left his man wide open for the first goal, Butland tried to cover for him and got stuck in no-man’s land. He’s also right footed even though he plays on the left, which means his natural instinct is cut inside. This makes an already narrow formation even narrower. I don’t recall any crosses put in from our left, which is a key component of the diamond system. Even Pieters can attack better than McLean. He’s total garbage.

Hopefully the manager will be brave enough to admit he's got it wrong with JM and goes out and buys a lwb.

Hopefully the manager will be brave enough to admit he's got it wrong with JM and goes out and buys a lwb. As if NJ will admit that he is wrong. The man is more stubborn than TP. The sooner we fook him off the better, he is absolutely clueless. This diamond formation is complete shite, and even if the diamond works......the guy has bought players who can't bloody play it, McLean at LWB, Smith at RWB, Cousins at DM, and a forward line devoid of any pace or skill, I will give Powell a chance, the shitshow behind and in front of him means that Lionel bloody Messi would struggle score 10 goals in this side.

Just a brief note to confirm that JM is not, and never will be a fullback, based on his performances as a defender when he was at WBA. The Chav in the Cap tried to use him as a LB and it was a total failure. He was repeatedly found ball watching and out of position (even with Our Tone's use of a 6 man defensive screen). Jones' talk of 5 weeks full back coaching is just a refresher on top of TP's efforts. IMO both coaches were wasting their time....

It’s not too late to buy an attacking left back, if we’re going to go balls deep to play a diamond it would be a total head scratcher for us not to.
McClean is what he is, a hard worker who lacks any real talent whatsoever. As professional footballers go in the top two divisions I’ve barely seen a footballer more limited ability wise.....

Jimmy is left footed mate Then why didn’t go he wide and put in a bloody cross? He put in some good crosses, my mate made a good observation, it looks like they've been working on their 'wrong' foot as Ince was using his right more than he usually would too.

I think the only person on this earth who thinks JM ( not even himself i bet) can be a high octane LWB is Nathan Jones. The baggies fans will be laughing their bollox off at the thought and they have seen more of him than us. We have watched him for a season and we know his limitations. It is truly incredulous that Jones thinks otherwise. Let see if Jones has the intelligence and the humility to admit he got this wrong

If he doesn't sign a left back this week his decision to play James McClean there will be one of the main reasons for his inevitable sacking.

I forecast it earlier this week in another thread.
They identified our weakness at LB and constantly attacked him. He made their winger look good.
Change the formation and Jimmy Mac in his normal position performed much better and put in a few very good balls into the penalty area, only to be wasted by our ineffective strikers.
One positive from yesterday is hopefully, and God Willing, NJ now realises that the McClean LB experiment is not going to work.

The issue yesterday wasn't how good or bad he was as a fullback, it was how crap was the midfield and the forward line, and the judgement of Jack Butland.
