That's absolutely fantastic bowling from Woakes, slanting across then nipping back and straightening! Aussies falling over it!

The umpires are having an absolute mare of a day. Dar is usually alright, but Joel Wilson is absolutely terrible.

It doesn't really matter if we can't get Smith out when the rest are garbage

It doesn't really matter if we can't get Smith out when the rest are garbage I know he's not everybody's cup of tea but Geoffrey has nailed it here Geoffrey Boycott - Ex-England batsman on BBC Test Match Special"That might just have been clipping the stumps. But is Pattinson worth a review? 50% of the batting is still in, the other 50%, Warner, is out - the rest can't bat."

I can’t ever remember seeing so many bad umpiring decisions in one day.

Looking ominous this, the ball is completely lifeless already.

Does anybody happen to have a good tip for watching (or even listening) from abroad that doesn’t involve a VPN?

The only problem with having the Aussies 8 down not long after lunch is we could end up with half our lot out by close of play!

I hate to say it, but I think Siddle will have a field day on this pitch.

With the cloud cover and lights on....could be a good thing the big covers are now on...we'd be hopeless in this!

What's a good score on this pitch? 220?

What's a good score on this pitch? 220? The pitch looks about a 300 par pitch. With the way England are batting at the moment Australia will be relatively happy if they can get up to about 220/230.

I am only listening to it, so it's hard to tell what would be acceptable. The commentators have slated the Australian batting, though.

Frustrating partnership this. This is where it’s handy to have someone who can bowl 90mph.

It really ain’t doing much out there now, we’re still in a very good position. 50 more runs and I’ll start to worry a bit.

They are right back in this 😔 With our batting they were never out of it. If they’d bothered reviewing they’d be a lot better placed. We’ve bowled pretty well, and as I write the ball is just starting to turn and produces the wicket!
