They survived because of Rafa not because of the talents they have, with Hughes they are 100% relegating.

I don't think that even Newcastle deserve Mr Hughes. As if they haven't been through enough in the last few years.
Don't managerial applicants have to supply suitable references?

Only 6 managers have won more premier league games , and he's managed the 6th highest amount of games, so that's not very remarkable!

Strange to say but his CV reads impressively if you look at final league positions. Would be an easy option for Newcastle. They took Pardew so no reason why not Hughes. Won't go down well but not happened as of yet

Daily star league table there are actually 7 with more than his 139 wins , jose , fergie , wenger , Redknapp, fat sam , Rafa , so he is not in bad company , all of those have managed top six teams who’s you expect to be favourites in the majority of games m except Sam who got Bolton into the top 6

At least he won't get any money to waste.
No one in their right mind - and I know a lot of people are not in their right mind - would take the Newcastle job. An owner who is a pathological liar and a fanbase that will still worship Rafa and won't give the next guy a fair chance.

They love Rafa because he did a very good job in very shit circumstances. They know the next one will have to operate in the same crapness.

I don’t quite get all of this vitriol aimed at Hughes who at times provided some of the best football and results since Waddo and certainly better than anyone who has followed him.
Can’t imagine us winning away at Man City anytime soon.

Suspect he's finished as a manager. There's a few of that class of 2004-ish whose methods just don't seem to work anymore - him, Moyes, Pardew, maybe even Mourinho.

If the takeover had gone through Mourinho was reported to be their first choice. Is the takeover still happening there? It's gone quiet.

Can’t imagine us winning away at Man City anytime soon. He's the 21st Century Richie Barker. He gave us some fantastic times with an absolutely brilliant squad but the lasting effects of some key decisions made by him damaged the club for the next decade or so. I sincerely hope that isn't the case with Hughes but there's plenty of evidence to suggest it might be the case.
