I’m very much along the lines that if we improve on last season and stabilise off the field I’ll be happy. The signings that we’ve made to date I think will help with that. Biggest issue for me is selling our players who don’t fit due to lack of ability or bad attitude. Right now I’d imagine NJ wants rid of
Wimmer NDaiye Imbula Bojan Bauer Berahino Woods Afobe Cameron
That’s a lot of wages we need to get off our outgoings and I’d say due to some of the ridiculous deals offered we’ll struggle to get rid of half of them.
If we can get some good solid signings and maybe a couple more we push the boat out for then we could be there or there abouts especially iff some of the youngsters push on.
I’ll predict us ending up around 8th.

I think 8th as well which would be progress but disappointing at the same time.

PLAY OFFS! Cant see anything else. We wont lose many, but probably wont win enough for auto promotion.

Close season, not announced new comings or goings, haven't seen them kick a ball and for that reason I'm going top 6 😁

The Championship could have been a lot harder this year. Neither Sunderland nor Pompey went up, the three that did aren’t big hitters. We lost Villa and didn’t get Newcastle, while I think Hudders and Cardiff will struggle. There can only be ten teams at the most who could win it, we must be in that ten surely?

Leeds 5 Fulham 8
West Brom 9 Cardiff 11 Stoke 12 Derby 14
Middlesbrough 14 Huddersfield 16 Brentford 16 Sheffield Wednesday 20
Nottingham Forest 20 Bristol City 22 Swansea 25 Preston 25
Birmingham 33 Blackburn 33 Luton 33
Hull 40 QPR 50 Millwall 50 Reading 50 Wigan 50 Barnsley 50 Charlton 66
Looking at the odds and the names laid out in front of you, I don't think there are many stable, well-oiled clubs to really be scared of.
I'd be very sceptical that we would finish ahead of Leeds and Fulham - and Warnock will probably have Cardiff up there, but that's not a given.
West Brom have got a new man (that I don't particularly rate!) and probably won't have Gayle, and maybe not Rodriguez or Dawson. Take out the goals of their front 2 and they lose a hell of a lot. So they're a bit up in the air.
Derby may well not be up there with no Lampard and their top Prem loanees. They were lucky to finish as high as they did last year anyway - and without Mount, Tomori, Wilson, I can't see them improving. Their chairman won't be spending.
Middlesbrough won't spend big and have a complete rookie manager.
Huddersfield certainly don't scare anyone.
Be a it of a surprise if Forest really threatened.
Maybe it's stable clubs like Brentford, Preston, Bristol City - and a Sheff Weds that Bruce had on an upswing that could be surprises - but I don't think there are loads of big hitters to be wary of.
I'd be disappointed if we weren't right in the shake-up for the top 6.

Mid table after flirting with a top 6 place but its a very even league & anyone of a dozen clubs could be in with a shout of top 6. Consistency is the key & being able to win ugly when needs be.

I really can't compile a list of 6 clubs that I think will even probably finish ahead of us at this point.
It's all completely up in the air. This league is bonkers
Anything is possible.

Cant see Leeds bouncing back from dead on certs to also rans. And Fulham are going to have a torrid time.
I reckon WBA Champs, Boro 2nd.
Play offs Stoke, Swansea, Leeds, Derby.

Cant see Leeds bouncing back from dead on certs to also rans. And Fulham are going to have a torrid time. I reckon WBA Champs, Boro 2nd. Play offs Stoke, Swansea, Leeds, Derby. WBA without Gayle and (probably Rodriguez) though. That's nearly 2/3 of their goals gone at a stroke New manager too, who's never managed in this league. That's a lot to overcome. And I'd be a bit surprised if Woodgate took to management like a duck to water - Rumours that they'll hardly be spending anything too. I think if you take Fulham and Leeds out of it (and, as you say, that's not a given at all), we're as well placed as anyone. Would think Cardiff will be definites for top 8 though. Of the others, I'd be most worried about those solid clubs where the manager has his feet under the table like Bristol City, Preston, Brentford, maybe Sheff Weds too. New rookie manager at Swansea too. And a Derby shorn of all their better players from last season, and working on a real budget without the same quality of loans - and a new manager who will be appointed late I don't think the so-called 'big' clubs are any better positioned than us at the moment. You can go through them all and pick holes in their chances. This league is too crazy for words.

Still Honing the prediction Trajectorywise - 14th to 18th at the moment.
(We'll replace the scoring and creativity rate of Ince with Powell, and that of Afobe with Gregory. Our keeper won't be as good as Jack. Our new CMF will miss Allen a little, but is probably replacable, Defence was strong for the last 1/2 of last year - so probably par by losing BMI and Williams, in favour of a new CB to partner Batth and Shawx)
Jury out on diamond though. If he gets 2 fast, attacking creative fullbacks from somewhere - the above changes markedly. But so far, looks a chasm to fill those spaces.
League looks open:-
Fulham Nottm Forest WBA if they replace Gayle with another good striker (otherwise will come 7th-10th) Sheff Wed Brentford Cardiff Bristol City Leeds

As things stand 55 points flirting with the play offs in good spells and the drop zone in others , happy to revise to a final estimate when the business is concluded either way we have to stand by jones

I remember. Last season I so confidently said, we'll piss this league along with a huge Homer Simpson laughing gif.
Though I was dead wrong, I'm going to go for the same prediction this time round as well. We'll fucking piss this league (homer Simpson thing here).

Bookies reckon 5th, anything less than that would be really bad, the parachute payments are near enough finished after this season so we have to make our move now or we're in for another very long stat out of the big time.

Play-offs, we should get better as the season progresses too which is usually a good thing when they’re concerned. Form team wins the, see Villa.
