I remember. Last season I so confidently said, we'll piss this league along with a huge Homer Simpson laughing gif. Though I was dead wrong, I'm going to go for the same prediction this time round as well. We'll fucking piss this league (homer Simpson thing here). That's us screwed then

For some reason I do see us getting up this year via the playoffs. I can also see Leeds getting off to a flyer once more but then doing their annual fade away from January onwards but will have done enough to still make the playoffs, where this time they scrape through to the final to be playing against the mighty potters, and for them to be winning 1 nil in a scrappy affair until the 85th minute when we equalise and then nick it in the 94th minute with a fluky, deflected off someones hairy arse, into the far corner for a 2-1 undeserved win that sends the City into raptures and causes them unwashed buggers up the road to self harm for a week........ and breath!
Wadda ya think?

If you looked at the quality/strength of our squad and our performance last season you would be thinking 10/12th. But for me the opposition are a bit ordinary bar 2 or 3 and we have the hindsight of one season to look at the opposition. Leeds...I can't see Bielsa not getting things right at the end of the season again and they only need to marginally improve their first xi to go up this time Cardiff..seriously experienced manager who knows exactly how to get out of this league and it's unlikely they will be weaker than last season. Fulham...probably have the best squad on paper but with a rookie manager. They also have potentially the highest scorer in Mitrovic. The rest including us are underwhelming ....maybe its Bristol City's time and Sheff Weds under Bruce will be around, But Derby could look very different, so too WBA and M'boro. So if we keep Allen and Etebo and add at least 2 quality players who knows. The big conundrum for me is whether the manager can really get us winning 20+ games? His record so far of just 3 wins in 21 games with a squad at the moment that looks marginally better than last season doesn't inspire confidence. Lets see where all the teams are when the window closes and loans have been done.

With out a good left back, with the current lack of pace in the side and the fact that our hopes are going to be resting on a potentially excellent player who has a history of injuries we will finish 12th if Powell plays 34 games or more. Any less and we will be relegated.

Without 2/3 key signings AND without getting some of the shit of, the wage bill And with a few injuries...…...14th. But with the reverse 7th, just missing out on play offs. …………...

Get a decent goalscorer top 6, with the same forwards as last season around 16th again.

But let’s wait and see what we do in the window first.

Only 3 teams* conceded fewer goals than us last season and I expect the club will improve the defence with a LB and another CB in his prime to replace our aging CBs and while the young CBs are developing. That is an excellent platform to build from. So I expect nothing less than the play-offs.
I do think Jones is going to find it hard to get the team scoring and find his best attacking formation, so we may stumble along in a mid-table position for much of the season with the defence keeping us in touch with the best teams. So many of Rowett's signings proved huge disappointments and it is hard to believe that none of them will come good and start performing well.
But eventually I have faith that Jones and his coaches will get the team scoring and we will finish the season strongly.
* Sheff Utd, Leeds, and Middlesbrough

Lack of offense/creativity/pace will continue to be our undoing.

Bayern the manager is our inky hope everybody else in the system has tried and failed so on her basis I hope your wrong and I i have since since day 1 I like his approach and think he Will be a very good manager but hopefully the environment and process don’t finish him .

The Championship could have been a lot harder this year. Neither Sunderland nor Pompey went up, the three that did aren’t big hitters. We lost Villa and didn’t get Newcastle, while I think Hudders and Cardiff will struggle. There can only be ten teams at the most who could win it, we must be in that ten surely? On what basis? No don't tell me, the squad is that good we must automatically run close...we won't, that's the lesson from last season. If that's what the manager believes but he still hasn't found a way to address our fundamental problems then we'll do well to finish better than last season which means 15th will be an improvement.

Mid table.
We'll be harder to beat but won't score anywhere near enough goals.

7th, we'll miss out on the playoffs on the final day.
But upward mobility that hopefully continues into 2020/21.

The manager so far is the third worst in our history. I can't see much past that with the players we're likely to sign and what we have now. If we sign a top bollock left back and DM, that will change.

You'd have to think that with the list of teams in the league, their relative budgets and managers, we'd have to be in with a shout of winning the thing if all goes to plan. There's nobody in there to be concerned about, really. The PL teams that came down were all weak and the sides coming up shouldn't cause too much damage. If we struggle in a league of that strength then it's a long time before we're going anywhere.
That said, I can't predict anything until we know who signs who but we surely have to be aiming top 6 as a minimum.

If we’re in with a good chance of 6th or above with 5 games to go I’d take it right now.
