Why don’t they make an announcement stating exactly when they are going to make an announcement? Or did that happen? No, they haven’t announced any announcements yet. But I’m sure when they’re ready to announce an announcement they will announce it as soon as early this week!

Smudge's theory as good as anyone's. Maybe we really are all set for a recreation of the famous Bossie photo (with maybe a surprise 6th?) and an all-in-one mega reveal? www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/stoke-city-transfer-news-signings-3017306A lot of Stokies have found it difficult to deal with the waiting they’ve had to endure with regards to these new recruits. Considering most of them have been spoken about as “done deals” for some time we can only wonder why the Potters have chosen to delay official confirmation.
My own best guess is that they have been waiting to get closer to Wednesday, when the squad starts to report back for pre-season training, so that they can make one big announcement and help to create a bit of a feel-good factor.

Is it just me that thinks the club and particularly Scholes, treat our supporters with utter contempt. Having kept us totally in the dark for two months and then set expectations for announcements "early next week", the least he could do is actually make those announcements. Early in the week is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday morning latest. Communication with supporters at this club is absolutely appalling, unfortunately it is not a new thing and it is doubtful with the current set up that it is likely to improve anytime soon. Scholes has overseen three years of garbage on the pitch and unfortunately his off field management has been worse.

Seriously now these morons in charge just need to be got rid of for the good of this club, they are so far removed from reality with their ambivalent attitude to what others find exciting about the club that they are just breeding contempt amongst those who hold it dear.
They don't seem to have any idea of how to drum up interest, or indeed maintain it, which for a club in decline through their own makings is just suicidal business sense and only serves to provide greater insight as to our recent fall from grace to anyone with an inkling of common sense. It is honestly staggering to behold the way in which these fools operate.
I don't post on here very often but do like to keep abreast of whats happening in the hope that a light may begin to emerge from a tunnel we've been in for the last 3 years here, but we seem to be treated with such disdain by those in charge that we are treated like children, like its none of our business to know who we're signing, or indeed have signed to date, (the result of which is that we don't buy Season Tickets any more Mr Coates take note ) and if there's nothing to report then just don't report instead of feeding what they deem to be tantilising titbits on what may or may not be about to happen - idiots with not a clue on PR, nor respect for the supporter who they clearly deem to be so far beneath them they don't warrant any kind of regard whatsoever.
What the hell is going on here because to suffer fools for 1 year is bad, 2 years you could possibly put down to the loyalty and understanding of a gentleman in his latter stages of life, but 3 and rising is just incredible, and now they've come up with this bit of a cat and mouse game with the media designed up in one of their moments of genius ( probably over a pizza ) which I can only assume they think will whip up some kind of media frenzy up there with not putting the prices on items in a shop window - genius ??
What in fact happens is that people become disinterested, stop paying attention, get bored, find somewhere else that does'nt present so much hassle, and don't come back, like the thousands who've deserted the club in the last couple of years.
Let me tell you Scholes and Cartwright that what this will in fact do is stall the already poor Ticket sales full stop ( although Cartwright is pleased with the "disappointing figures ? " ), reduce initial game crowd figures until feedback from those who've been to the early games gets the word around sufficiently to tempt anyone back to the ground, and further fuel the resentment towards the current upper levels of management, the two primary positions of which are yours.
Very very disheartened supporter who's just got tired of waiting for something of interest to happen here, or indeed pop up as a topic on these Proboards.

Very very disheartened supporter who's just got tired of waiting for something of interest to happen here, or indeed pop up as a topic on these Proboards. Thought I would pull a few bits out here mate. This thread alone, plus the growing social media presence, and relatively healthy attendance figures are testament to how the club is keeping interest stable. People are currently debating whether Wednesday is classed as early or mid week. Idiots with not a clue on PR, nor respect for the supporter who they clearly deem to be so far beneath them they don't warrant any kind of regard whatsoever.Frozen season tickets for 10 years, introduction of a group ticketing executive, and a manager in the press often, chief executive in the press, chairman in the press (less so now thankfully). The club are operating perfectly fine in regards to PR. Our image as a stable club is being recovered with the articles recently about our more prudent approach due to the spending of recent times and also the project we have bought into. Furthermore we have kept our powder very dry on the Berahino issue, that could have been a PR disaster however we remained firm, quiet and are seeking advice on the situation. Had we spoken out already this could have resulted in something akin to 'no clue on PR.' people become disinterested, stop paying attention, get bored, find somewhere else that does'nt present so much hassle, and don't come back, like the thousands who've deserted the club in the last couple of years. This thread is testament to the fact people are not bored. The few tidbits being fed are doing the job. It's going to be like a fucking orgasm when they all get announced. The thousands who have deserted are to be expected, you will have the 'fairweather' fans in any club who will be there during the good times. We are currently in transition and encountering issues which they are looking to solve. Your post reeks of someone throwing their toys out of the pram unfortunately. Patience, it's not even July yet.

Just seems a bit weird. Can't see any good reasons why they couldn't have drip-fed them out over the last few days/weeks. Having a signing dump tomorrow morning just seems a bit........ strange. It's clearly a call that's been made by someone, presumably ultimately Scholes. I'm guessing we'll never find out why - but he must have his reasons. Okay, in 1988 or 1999, you couldn't follow the progress of signings like you can now - but, even so, I've never seen anything like this. You certainly couldn't get away with it at a club with more of a media following. People aren't going to invade the Waddo Suite or break their season ticket in two over it, but it's a bit surreal.

Perhaps they have a promotional special from one of the photography companies, like a family portrait for a tenner if it is done at am on a Wednesday morning it would be fitting to complement the cost of the newcomers, not so much this is ambition but this is austerity
