I dont know, was a genuine question, not a dig at the lad He's a big strong lad Quick Good first touch Good in the air Good strike on him Can dribble In short he's got the lot bar experience Reminds me of Malcolm MacDonald with a bit of Alan Shearer Future England striker for sure Fierece competitor too. Proper temper on him that he needs to learn to control a bit. But also gives him an edge. |

He looks a fantastic player and I hope we sign him.
However it’s still a risk.
He’s only made a handful of first team appearances.
He’s still young and may not hit the ground running so hopefully he’s afforded some patience.

If he was anyone other than Delap’s son he’d be written off by September, thankfully it could actually work in his favour. He’s got a big step up from 23’s football but he’s got every attribute needed to do it. |

Loads going on about him and Campbell up front, well I can tell you this, Campbell’s not going be fit for a long time, some say Christmas. Let’s be honest, if he does come which I doubt, who’s to say it’s going work out? Championship is much harder than Man City under 18s. We have see won’t we.

I dont know, was a genuine question, not a dig at the lad You'd have to reason that if he could already comfortably play as a lone striker in the Championship (as an 18 year old) he wouldn't be coming out on loan to us. He looks to have a lot of the physical attributes to eventually be able to, but I imagine seasoned CBs would be confident in being able to bully/negate a young lad trying to play with his back to goal and link up play. It's possibly also a bit of a waste given his attributes? He looks like a finisher with a good turn of pace who you'd want playing ready to run on to through balls. If he does sign, I imagine they'll be looking to play him in tandem with someone who's got a track record of being able to mix it up, like Fletcher or Powell. Wonder if Keinan Davis on loan from Villa would also fit that brief, especially given Fletch's fragility? |

Tbh I think he is maybe over hyped too much on these forums and there would be too much pressure and expectation if he was to join.
Don't get me wrong he had a great season in the u23s last year. But there are other players who have been having great seasons in the PL at his age past and present.
And there are players with similar goals to game ratios in the u23 league with a mixed bag of careers. Niasse, Xande Silva, Nmecha, George Miller and McBurnie to name a few.
Nmecha managed 26 goals and 3 assists in u23s. A goal less than every 80 mins played. But went to the championship on loan scoring 4 goals in over 50 games.
As much as I'd love to see him playing at stoke. I think he'd probably be better of going to a club where there will be less expectation and hype.
