“He’ll never sign for Stoke.”

This is the one I’m not overly enamoured with at all.
He’s got a lot of convincing to do for me.

Probably the most exciting signing of them all and on a free transfer as well! What's not to like!?

I'm surprised someone who hates us has actually signed for us?
Seems a bit daft to me?

He's the one I'm actually looking forward to. We've missed a bit of expecting the unexpected.

"He's a wonderful talent. A little bit of an enigma at times. But someone with real talent and if we're going to play how want to play, we need that type of talented individual - and he is that"
"He started really well at Crewe. His time at Man Utd was a little bit indifferent, but it's a difficult move to make. He found a real home and played some great football at Wigan, especially the season before last when they went up"
"So, in that No.10 position, we need that goals, creativity, we know we've got a little bit of work to do with Nick but we're thoroughly committed to him and believe he'll be a wonderful acquisition - he's a wonderfully talented player and if we pull him within our structure and environment, we can get the best out of him and if we get the best out of Nick Powell, he'll do wonderful things for us

Free signing of the season, great effort to get a very decent player on a free Just pray he can hold up to 42 days of Nathan Jones' animal regime, and that he won't have to going in for treatment all season as a result ...

Nick's a good lad and is really looking forward to helping Stoke towards a promotion push, he said once Stoke made a move for him it would have taken a Premier league offer to make him have second thoughts, he was offered big money to stay at Wigan and contrary to the rumours he's loving the fact he's signed for Stoke and can't wait to play. Gouranga.

I think we’ve signed Powell at the perfect point of his career. Much more mature than he was 3-4 years ago, ready to knuckle down and get the work done. Honestly think that he will be a great signing for us.

He pulled us all over the park at our place last season.
Good signing, but needs to prove fitness and an element of attitude.
Is Jones is going diamond with him at 10 and Vokes Gregory up top we look a serious physical threat again but were desperately going to need pace from the full backs... step forward 33 year old Ward!

My mate works down Clayton Wood and he said Powell turned up to pre-season in a Vale/Crewe half and half shirt with Arsenal shorts. He HATES Stoke.
