The point that Neville was making however could easily have been about Stoke. Sometimes it isn’t the manager when you need to rebuild, it is what is going on behind the scenes in terms of who is pulling the strings regarding recruitment. I've been saying it for ages. The similarity between us and man utd is there. Changes of manager, shit players that you cant get rid of, not putting the yards in, passing sideways and backwards. The only difference is the bank balance and size of crowd. That's why there are a few on here who are secret scum.

I think that is probably right. But it sheds no light on whether or not any of them would improve our side. It's a redundant question, because first we couldn't afford them. Second, even if we could, they wouldn't for a moment consider us. But if you are in any doubt as to whether any of them would improve our side, there's an easy way to tell. They would. Do you think Jones offers more than batth as a defender? Fred more than etebo? I seriously wouldn't swap them. I'd swap mclean for rashford though 😁 I'd swap mc clean for a rash.

Depends what you call good money, but every single one of those players you've mentioned would improve us as a football team. Lindelof is having a very good season. All of them players would walk into our team though. You've got that the wrong! All of them players would get into our team and walk!

The level of delusion on here is frightening. Would you be happy if we were offering money for any of them weapons in the summer? I wouldn't. No. Because we couldn't afford the fee or the wages. Would Smalling or Jones be better than Shawcross or Bathh? Of course they would.

What did they expect? It's a different dynamic when it's a permanent role.
Not being Mourinho isn't enough now.

They should cut their losses on Pogba. Nobody’s bigger than the club.

Bubble well and truly burst - dead cat bounce - Pogba playing like he wants away and rest of squad mediocre / on the beach. If Liverpool are thinking that Utd will be their salvation on Weds then I can only see tears on Merseyside barring a reaction to end all reactions driven by a huge wave of "Stop City" sentiment although I doubt even that would be enough to make even the most ardent Utd supporter want to hand the advantage to Liverpool - be a must watch for sure.....

Thing is they are saying Pogba is playing for a move away. He thinks hes better than he is. Why should he assume everyone is going to come in for him.

Hard to know whether he's better than he thinks he is. Impossible in fact. But I would say he thinks he is better than the team he is currently playing for. I would agree. And I imagine he wants to be at a club that can genuinely compete in the Chumps League. At the moment that looks some way off. I think he is entitled to assume that, albeit I have no idea what the wage position is. And the evidence supports that view. For example you don't get 60 odd caps by the time you are in your mid 20s for the world champions unless you are very, very good. World class in fact. And if he stays fit, he has at least 5 more years at the very top.

Heres one for you then and i know my answer. Are utd better with or without Pogba. 100% without. Dreadful attitude and performances nowhere near justify the price tag. There was a moment in their game yesterday when a pass towards him was underhit and intercepted by an Everton man. He just threw his arms up in the air in frustration and made no attempt to track back and win the ball back. He’s their Imbula.

Read some tweets saying he's contributed 13 goals and 6 assists which have won the Shit 22 points this season which is second only to Hazard. So question would be why isn't hazard in?

Tried to do the team on the BBC website and it's realistically too attacking but came up with this in a 4231..
Ederson Alexander-Arnold Van Djik Laporte Robertson Fernandinho Bernardo Silva Sterling Son Mané Aguero
Obviously you wouldn't normally play Bernardo Silva in a 2 man midfield but thought Son deserved to be in the team. Also thought about Maddison as well.

Pogba's selection is absolutely laughable, isn't it? But the players don't give it more than a cursory thought, so come up with crap routinely.
Even the north-west press pack, who watch him every week, seem amazed

The only award Pogba has taken this year is the hide and seek championship from Madeline McCann.
His selection here is terrible when you consider there is no Salah or Hazard.

Would Smalling or Jones be better than Shawcross or Bathh? Of course they would. I would sign Valencia if his fitness is proved. He is available on a free and while his wages are probably bigger than Edwards' are, he's not among the top earners there, or even among the average wage. He can cover a number of different positions (he's played a more central role at times for his country) and is a great leader. Question is of course if he's willing to drop down a division, or if he's planning on taking his family home.

Thing is they are saying Pogba is playing for a move away. He thinks hes better than he is. Why should he assume everyone is going to come in for him. The fact that Zidane returned to Madrid will have perked up his senses of a perfect match. It will probably have perked up Perez' sense of a galactico too. What Zidane thinks may be of lesser importance...

You can't not have Sterling or Mané though can you?! That's why Son isn't in the team either I assume. Like I said elsewhere, Maddison is unlucky to be overlooked imo. Officially the most creative player in Europe isn't he? And in his first season.

He's not in the same class as Salah, Hazard or De Bruyne. In terms of transfer fees, one of the most over-rated players of all time.
