When we appointed NJ I was pleased and keen to see his philosophy and strategic footballing approach. This can be seen in the last few games and will hopefully come together for next season.
The other thing I wanted, almost expected was a man who could motivate and get some or the majority of players committed and improving individual. There’s been absolutely no sign of this, no new manager uplift. The players have the ability, not all will respond but the manager SHOULD be getting something out of them. Good managers do.

Does it point to a deeper problem?
The manager laid down the gauntlet last week. Today he's had his answer.
From where i'm sitting, a lot of the new recruits this summer have the worst attitude out of the lot of them. Some of them are utterly shameful characters.

The way I see NJ: A good man at the wrong time.
We need a 4-by-4 for a manager, and hes more of a Polo

I think the majority of them look like they are trying harder now to be honest bar the usual culprits (Afobe Ince Clucas and even Ince and Clucas looked like they were attempting to make some effort at times today).

I’m backing him, I think it’s unreasonable to start sharpening the knives until he gets his own players in.
The players at the club now are without a shadow of doubt, the most disgraceful, shameless, spineless wankers arguably in our entire history.
However, that said, the tinkering around needs to stop, he’ll be well aware of their limitations by now, and my worry is he’s struggling to adapt temporarily from being a manager who favours free flowing, attacking football, to one who needs to see an absolutely rotten team in terminal decline over the line.
I do feel sorry for him, I wouldn’t want to work with the utter ballbags that are our playing staff, but he almost needs to lower himself to their level, because it really is turgid at the moment.
Start the experiments in the summer Nathan, we need to stay up now, which I didn’t think was going to be a concern at the start of the season.

Im not sure what you expected, we have very little creativity in the side, the midfield are all pretty much the same, McClean is basically what Walters was for us and Ince is out for himself most of the time, its a big summer and Jones needs to get it right.
Most of the players don't care beyond getting paid.

He needs time he’s been left a shocker of a squad which anyone could struggle to get anything out of.
I would say though right now he isn’t helping himself though with some of his selections but with the players he has at his disposal anyone would struggle to get a tune out of them.
On a positive we look a lot more solid at the back with the Indi / Batth partnership looking good.
Midfield is the key though.
We today had 3 players who are too similar that don’t offer Pace Power Creativity Goals You will not score with players who are bits and pieces players who only knock 10 yard balls predominanly back or sideways. Of the 3 Etebo is the best and is worth his place. Next match we have to play Charlie as even in his short cameo he gave us more zip. Bojan too needs to come in for the lazy Ince.

Whichever way you look at it, the last 10 games is relegation form, even when compared with the shite in this league.

I'm struggling to think of a manager who has made a worse start at a new club - although I'm hoping John Askey across the city might help me out on that one

As warned, it certainly has gotten worse since Jones arrived and it’s just about praying that it eventually gets better. That appears to be several thousand miles off yet judging by what we’re producing at the moment.
On the one hand, Jones must be expecting his players to see out a game against bottom of the league with them letting us down AGAIN but, on the other, we’ve again created virtually fucking zero to put the game beyond them which I place on the manager and his set up.
That dressing room must be rotten.

The naviety of his public statements , pandering to the public view in threatening players he needs is catching him out eeek after week , and they are bridges that are burned now it’s a long long way to safety and even if we make it , there is little to cause for thinking next season might better .

Waddington 0 wins in 6 Hughes 2 wins in 10. Rowett 1 win in 7. It’s not difficult to be honest.....

Unfortunately, he's met my low expectations. He's honest, but out of his depth. I dont blame him he was ambitious to take the position.
A weak, cheap, appointment by his Leek keeper mate and slippery Scholes.

So that’s Hughes, Lambert, Rowett and Jones all shit at their jobs and god knows how many many others who saw the writing on the wall and weren’t interested. I have never seen such a lack of cohesion and comradery in all my years watching Stoke sides. Some of these players are selling the club and our fans well short and are a disgrace!

We will just keep burying our heads!
It’s all fine, don’t worry, the summer will bring wholesale changes and instantaneous results winning by margins greater than 3!
The post being buried under the carpet isn’t gonna wash.
I’m not seeing any progression, no green shoots.
Find it very poor! It’s fucking Ipswich town worst team in the league and we’ve had 1 shot on target!
I’m bored with it all. We are rubbish, I am not convinced the manager is up to the job, he has zero experience and this is too early for him.
What have we become.
